@@heatheravila I can only imagine! I watched their Las Vegas show from last month (it might have been their opening show for their 2024 North American tour). I was left speechless, not only by their set list but the fact that they sounded phenomenal. The acoustics weren't the best (low volume, no doubt because it was recorded on someone's phone), but I could tell the live show was fire. I also just learned today that Jane's Addiction asked L & R to be their opening band! Now that's one of the best lineups ever. I'm gonna check the tour schedule and if they're playing anywhere near me I'm there!

@@heatheravila Just gotta tell you. They're playing near my hometown next month! Ticket prices vary according to seat location in the venue (duh). Even the best seats are pretty reasonable. I'm buying my tickets tomorrow for the best seats available. This is crazy. I literally just found out this morning that L & R are currently on a North American tour and found out later this afternoon that they're opening for Jane's Addiction! What a great day 🥳 I know you and your son will have a great time. What a great experience to pass along!

From the opening couple of lines, "you cannot go against nature, because when you do..." it hooks you in deep, really deep. The song actually starts grabbing you in with the guitar strumming and "woo-hoo-hoo". Love and Rockets are one of those astounding bands that blend incredible music and song structure with lyrics that really make you think.

My discovery of this song was that I was listening to one of my favorite songs "Gold Lion" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and I saw a lot of comments on their music video saying they took that riff from this song. Love both songs now!

All superlatives for this band, from me. Simple (as a flower), straightforward, and really excellent. Lived to their "soundtracks", back in the day, and still remember all the words by which I can still live. Bands today don't release albums, cohesive albums, that tell a story. Tracks don't go beyond 3:30mins (unless it's a random DJ mix on a Friday night). Bands don't come around organically, via love, blood, hate, and all the bodily fluids and nutrients that (used to) make a sound. 99% smoke and mirrors now. L&R were just one of the bands back then and before then who crafted entire albums, comprised of entire songs, that carried a greater narrative, a point, a story, nuggets (if not entire veins) of truth, poetry, philosophy, real introspection, depth. But capitalism eats itself and, eventually, Return On Investment comes into play. Now, like many facets of Life, it's just an Industry and it's all about the Benjamins, as they say. Yes, even Lady Gaga. And, to +Kevin Sissons point, agreed that you can find good stuff out there today with some effort. It's like a box of assorted chocolates. Most are gross. You have to read the "liner notes" in the box or be good at guessing to find the ones you like. The silver lining is we can pick the few good ones from today, way off the beaten path, and still feast off all these timeless older ones, from all genres, of which there's an unlimited supply (EMI). Other good news is we don't have to OWN 'em ALL to listen to 'em ( ;

God i love this song and love them so much. I wish they were coming to Boston on this reunion tour. Totally bummed out. I did see them on their large scale tour back in the early 90s I guess with the Pixies, but I had 5th row seats so the venue did not seem large to me, and they were absolutely incredible. They just mix every genre so effortlessly. I guess I need to give their newer stuff a chance…I think I tried but could not get into it, maybe I’ll revisit. I do love electronica as well, does it kinda lean on that??? I just remember being bored and their previous stuff was anything but boring. Express is my favorite.
