Thanks Jamie. Good to see you again. I come here every day to see this family give up free time to bring us some of their recipes. And the fact that they started this during the quarantine and have continued all these months later is amazing and very generous. Today I watched Jamie's video then began to read the comments. I have never been so disappointed in my life. There is nothing wrong with having a different opinion but you don't have to be rude and/or hateful about it. I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped making these videos after today's ugliness. But that's the thing, this family is a lot more gracious than that. You could learn a thing or two from them. I like reading the comments to see what other people think about the recipe or if they have any questions or suggestions. But I never expected to see what I found today. Do you even look at the criteria for posting comments? Respectful is number one. If you don't come here to see the family and recipes, then why bother? Being a bully doesn't make you a big person, quite the opposite. This family, including Theresa and Eddie, has sacrificed a lot to bring these videos to us. Attacking everything and everyone is no way to repay them. Thank you Deen family, for all you do for us and bless you for being so kind.

@@Swim136 Unfortunately these trolls show up everywhere. There's another channel I visit who is being attacked for the second time. These childish people have nothing productive to do so they go online and harass people who are providing a service for the rest of us. But this whole conversation started months ago when people were still stuck at home. It doesn't matter who you watch, if you can't say something nice then don't say anything. Most people who come here are just happy to see Paula and crew and family and they are respectful. But that's the biggest problem, no respect. Not for anyone or anything. And that's not just here, it's all over. Sad but true. I appreciate the support you've given me and this channel. Hopefully it will return to a safe and congenial place to visit. 💗

This along should help a person see that the Gregorian calendar is not true time and that the Biblical Sabbath should not be calculated by it. The Sabbath is a sign between God and His people Israel and whosoever join themselves to them. One law is to Israel and to the stranger. When my kids were little, to make a quick and easy dinner I'd use a box of Mrs. Grass chicken noodle soup (the one with the tiny noodles) - and then I'd add a couple of beaten eggs to it to thicken it up and add some more protein. It's a quick family dinner and goes great with a grilled cheese sandwich. Yum!

Your not suppose to stir the soup after you pour the egg in the swirl...otherwise the entire egg mixes and disappears in the soup. Just leave it alone for one minute and let the egg set up inside the soup. The soup is suppose to be clear with the eggs looking separate in the soup not all combined and mixed up! But, I'm sure it still tasted yummy!

Nice base recipe. It might have needed to be just a very tiny bit thicker. If you added just a tad more cornstarch slurry (usually mixed with cold liquid) and pour the eggs into the hot soup after it has thickened, and then just drag a fork slowly back and forth through the pot, you will get the egg “flowers” where it is more flowy and silken. Using the whisk makes it cloudy and a bit more emulsified that traditional egg drop soup.

Jamie's slurry ("hard to explain") "explanation" was pretty lame. I've found that a 1:1 ratio (liquid to cornstarch) works well. Also start with the liquid (water or broth) first, then sprinkle in the cornstarch--not add the liquid to the measured cornstarch--to avoid that solid chalky blob. Also skip the whisk when making the slurry. Just put in a jar and shake well! Comes out perfectly combined with no lumps. You can always whisk once adding the slurry to whatever you're cooking if necessary. I find it hard to believe Theresa doesn't know what a slurry is lol (4:08). Even us novice cooks watch cooking shows and slurry is nothing new. I know everyone praises Theresa for her background work, but I'm sure Paula's hired help is well compensated lol...(I hope so.)
