What's your favorite flavor of Gooey Butter Cake you've ever tasted or made?
@heather812803 жыл бұрын
I’ve only made/tasted the Pumpkin! First recipe I ever made of yours back in 2008! I’ve made it at least 15 times since! I also have made your pecan surprise pie (I think that’s what it’s called, with the cream cheese?) and now my sister in law makes it every year for us at Thanksgiving! Can’t wait to try this one! Awhile back on your last ooey cake video you said you’ve made like 20 (not sure how many you said) different flavors and I was like Oh my Lord, I can’t even think of that many flavors lol!

Having your u tube videos for us especially during this pandemic has been a ray of sunshine. A way of being with others instead of alone. I quilt and sew snd knit etc. many forms of stitchery. So I watch those too. Love watching cooking. I hope all you u tubers know how much we appreciate all of you keeping us feeling like we are with others. I worked in a large Christmas Tree Shop before moving her 1 1/2 years ago and and was used to being around people. Customers and co workers to laugh and chat with. Here, I am alone So I have to rely on utube . The library was closed too and then limited hours when it did re open at first. I like people. Thank you.

Peaches are what summer sun tastes like! We have peaches here on the shore of Lake Michigan, but, they are half the size of the southern ones. My mother always made jam with them, and, with our cold winters, that summer taste of the peach jam in January was always welcome.

Ever since I made my first Gooey Butter Cake from your recipe, I have been tasked with bringing it to every pot luck. I’ve tried many of the variations depending on where I am going. The favorites are the chocolate/peanut butter, pumpkin, and lemon. My family has stopped having pumpkin pies at Thanksgiving and I bring the Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake instead. I live in South Carolina and we have lots of peaches too so I am going to have to try the peach one soon. I have also made it Gluten Free by using King Arthur’s Gluten Free cake mix. I always look forward to your videos.

I don't get adding Monkfruit to the peaches, but adding confectioner sugar later for the cake. There is a Monkfruit confectioner sugar substitute that works well and tastes like the real deal. Doubt Claudia will let her children indulge! For those with diabetes and weight issues, there are alternatives that have that taste and satisfaction we all like!
