I dated a guy one time. Our date was going to the nursing home where he was doing stand-up comedy. His jokes were WAY off color and to say the least he didn't know his audience. Without a doubt Chuck Woolery made this show hum. He balanced being a nice friendly guy with some saucy dating stories but it never got over the top and always had a tone of gentle fun and that all courtesy of Chuck. No Chuck and Love Connection dies in 1 season.

I think Brad was an aspiring comedian trying out his character. He had a lot of hooks and catch phrases. I like a lot of these dating shows from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, and I see a lot of these types of characters. The Dating Game in their later shows often had comedians come on doing routines. I prefer when people are just being themselves.
