Me too brosephiosh ! I've loved Harland since I first saw him in Dumb and Dumber like many others, I was probably 11 or 12 when I saw it, and he was so fucking funny in that very brief scene I would sit there and rewind the tape so I could see him react to drinking the piss bottle and I'd laugh so hard I could barely breathe, my stomach and face hurt, so many tears of laughter. It wasn't unusual for me to rewatch funny moments like that in shows and movies over and over so many times until I burned myself out on it and if it ever began to not make me laugh anymore I'd have to not watch whatever it was for a long time before I could actually enjoy it and laugh again. Long live Harland Williams, one of the most brilliant and imaginative, unbelievably hilarious Masters of Funny, he's a gift to humanity especially in this chaotic fucked up time on Earth. Love David K. too, he's funny in many things I've seen him in, and this interview showed he's a genuinely good guy. 😂🤜🏻🤛🏻🤪

I love at 6:20, David says "afeared". An ex-girlfriend's 4-year-old daughter used to watch Dora the Explorer, and when Swiper would come out, she's scream, "Oh, no! I'm afeared!" And I asked her once what afeared means, and she said, "It's like being afraid, only better." I always thought that was so brilliant. Even weirder, 8 minutes later, Harland mentioned Dora the Explorer.

I had the sudden epiphany I was meant to direct horror movies when I was 13 years old. I was a fat, shy kid and I adored slasher movies because I had no friends and they made me feel better about life. They entertained me to stop thinking of the pain of loneliness and nothingness. So I thought acting would break me out of my shell and make me look like I have friends in a movie. Then I was sitting in a theater watching Scream in 1996 and looked around at the audience being emotionally affected by the way the movie was directed and cut. Then I realized I wanted to provoke the emotions to others because I never had any emotional support from family as a kid. I wanted to show people my mind through creative imagery. I went from wanting to be the puppet to the puppet-master. I am now 40 and have still never directed a feature. I can only get a lot of mini shorts made with what I have. So some of us have those moments as kids and still don't quite make it. I even joined the Navy and used that to get me to film school. But I am still working at it. Maybe one day...

YES never stop believing. Don't sit back and wait for it to come to you. Ask yourself, what can I do to make this dream happen. Do one little thing everyday to push yourself closer to your goal, whether it be a phone call or an email. Nothing from nothing = nothing. Keep going buddy, chase it, want it! Life is short, KEEP GOING!!! Sending you luck and positive thoughts! Harland

_[referencing Harlan Williams saying “why do we have this?” in terms of ability to perform & be successful comic actors]_ It’s like how some People who have an incredible ability to draw things or paint things or whatever…literally see things differently & the way their brain visually interprets shapes, colors, space, is literally different than people with less ability to draw, but there is other factors…I’ve played electric guitar since before I was 2+1/2 years-old, because of that I’ve always had beautiful handwriting, and In junior high, my drawing ability that was as good as the kids who could draw incredibly when we were in Kindergarten through third grade, but in those days I couldn’t draw well because at the time i didn’t have that same innate visual interpretation and ability to put that onto paper
