From what I've heard, Cannon did not like the Script going into production but given the pay salary lined up, he was ok with it. Being that it is based on 1987s' Can't Buy Me Love, the premise about a Corny High School Nerd yearning for acceptance by the popular crowd doesn't exactly resonate well, especially when trying to change his image. What should've been done is take the Superhero Route, where the nerd gets caught in a middle of a gang war and received his superpowers, sounds familiar??? ⚡⚡

I don’t care what people say about this movie. This movie is hilarious and very nostalgic. It brings me back when I was in elementary school and it’s a high school movie. Even though it got some annoying disrespectful characters that get on my nerves, that doesn’t make the movie bad. I hated when that punk named Ted keeps bullying Alvin and his friends like he ain’t got no sense of humor or respect for people that go to the same school every day. What I love about Paris is that she always comes to the rescue even when Walter got smashed by a locker in the hallway.

He just needed to do something about the hair and the clothes. Something simple. And he shouldn't have dissed her like that. Nor should he have dissed his day one friends.
