That is just Cole's personality. We all have that one friend. I'm not excusing him but he is literally a walking version of being oblivious iand ignorant in what he says and does.Unfortunately only time and expereriences like this will make him more aware of what he needs to change. I do think Zanab's intentions was more calculated and definitely not honest in the reunion. Or maybe her peception was just her perspective taking based on her previous life experiences. She is definitely playing a victim. Regadless, she was not honest and fooled a lot of people. her integrity is in question. Regardless, this is the best thing that happened to both of them. I hope they both learn from this experience.

I think Zanab’s perception is her perception and we can’t take that away from her. I also think the whole cutie incident was her not hearing anything past “ Are you going to eat both of those” Her mind took her back to him saying “Colleen is hot, she’s my physical type” which put her in the head space of him diet shaming her when (based on what was shown anyway) that didn’t seem to be the case.

In all fairness to Cole with the whole Colleen controversy, Zaneb pressed him with all these questions putting him on the spot, asking how he would rate her and rate other women. And he was just honest. If you can't handle the answer then don't ask the question.

He was damned regardless of his answer. Either she wasn’t going to believe it if he flattered her or vilified, if he answered, honestly. Plus, it was her mistake for not remembering when he reminded her, in the pods, but he doesn’t traditionally go for girls like her. It’s unfair to have somebody expect their partner, and I have that played factor for a little bit.

I love this show, especially this season. I was hooked on it. I thought Bartise didn't deserve Nancy at all. I thought Cole was treated unfairly. Zanab was going around telling people things he supposedly said off camera, but there's never evidence of it and it made everyone hate him. Certainly on camera he came across to me as sweet, genuine and fun-loving, and she just nagged and nagged and put him down the whole time. It really annoyed me.

But she really painted him as this verbally and emotionally abusive villain, when that wasn't the case at all. I would say she was even more abusive than he was in how she just put him down constantly and made him feel small. The problem was when she went to everyone telling them things about him, either blowing them way out of proportion or outright lying to garner sympathy and make them all hate him. That was really crossing the line I think.

I honestly didn’t understand why SK would go on a show, propose to a woman sight unseen after seriously considering her for 10 days and then do graduate school in a whole other state. I’m glad he said no but I honestly don’t think he thought it through the first time. Like how did he think he was going to manage grad school and a whole new marriage to someone he barely knows in another state. Grad school is stressful as it is. And the way her lifestyle was and what she wanted from the gate wasn’t going to mesh.

He said in an interview that Zanab was constantly saying things like "I bet you think I am bipolar" and then when he finally asked, the team only left his question after editing, not all the comments leading up to that moment. At the end of the day, these "reality" shows are so edited that we will probably never know the full context of some of the things said. Sometimes, the splice is so seamless that you can't tell it was even edited to cut out seconds, sometimes even minutes. It's obvious Cole was meant to be the bad guy but it always takes 2 to tango. Zanab wants to be the strong victim now but, girl, you can't have both 😅 She was insecure since the moment she laid eyes on him and constantly asked questions meant to reaffirm her insecurities. It's a sad case study and we should learn from this.

Now that I’m into fitness a little, I understand raven doing her workouts while Bartise was talking. My body really hurts when I’m not moving frequently and it helps me concentrate. So I get her now. I also have a bad hip LMAO. And that process was probably so emotionally intense that exercise prolly helped her process. And yea Zanab I think did a lot in the name of “girl power” or whatever idk. But how can you let a MAN or ANYONE ruin your self esteem? Losing her parents and not having her sister there probably just had her feeling so crazy. Idk. Hope she gets help. It feels like Zanab came into the experience with a narrative that she's been subjected to (past trauma or experiences that contributed to her lack of self esteem and self worth). I think she plays victim and/or has a victim mentality because of it. Not to minimize what Cole did, but I think without knowing better, he basically bit the bait and enabled the continuation of this narrative that Zanab had about her position (being not enough) in the world (specifically romance and love). Cole is a guise of a deeper issue that Zanab has within herself.

I think it's because Zanab refused to acknowledge any of her mistakes and really painted Cole to be the bad guy which is quite disturbing. With Bartise, I totally agree with what you say but I don't think it triggers people as much because he had a touch more humility than Zanab in terms of his actions and his and Nancy's situation was different.

She was intent on derailing it herself, she asked him to rate her in comparison to Colleen, why do that when you know you're insecure? Cole definitely did things wrong but Zanab owns up to NOTHING that she's done wrong. It's so wrong how she behaves. And she continues her sanctimonious tone all the time.
