I think because we often, as the viewers focus so much on whether they would like each other physically, we forget the part where they fall in love with each other. Nick loves Hannah, so the flaws we see in her are not the same way he sees them in her. I do agree that Nick should be aware that he has power in what he chooses to accept or not, but I do think we should be careful to not be victim-blaming in what is clearly a verbally abusive relationship.

My family has a habit projecting and threatening partners. I remember as a teen my sister bringing her boyfriend (now husband) over and they all threaten to hurt him if he breaks her heart or hurts her. Like geez there is protecting then there’s being an asshole. I didn’t realized how much that affected me, I’m anxious to bring my partner around one day knowing what’s going to happen.

@@Narrahd Oh yeah I agree. My mom and oldest sister had their own issues and trauma with their past partners. I was too young at the time to remember anything, but this ended up leading to my second oldest sister being sneaky about her partner. I had a feeling it came from how they project their own issues onto her. Then the moment she introduces they go on to say all of that ☠️ Funny thing is now they like him because he’s married to her now and constantly hounds them to have children.

guys the donor thing is SO much more messy. The mom of the kids and her ex-wife spoke about it. the only kid he donated for was the older one the other two (twins) were naturally conceived. the mom and her ex wife separated and he was actively a part of the kids lives, basically a two-parent house hold situation and they were together right up until production started. so in that clip he’s still lying to her !
