I always told people I should have been born a decade earlier. I was blasting 80's music in highschool. Yet I graduated in the 90's. So while people were blasting grunge and rap around me. I was still listening to hard rock, heavy metal, and glam. I love seeing bands like Def Lep, Poison, Dio, Sabbath, ect. ect. have been gaining the new fan bases because of reaction channels such as this one. I have watched these guys from the beginning and It's been awesome seeing Jay and Amber fall in love with the same music that has made me so happy through out my life. I know because of there positive energy they have truly helped keep the music valid. Now if I can just get them to try Gunship or The Midnight they are synthwave bands. New bands with an 80's feel.

He was the awesome guitarist who created alot of those awesome riffs along with Phil... I was happy and sad to rock out to this song with you.... Please be sure to check out some of their older stuff... Listen to Overture, Answer to the Master, Walls come tumbling down off of their first album On Through the Night... Not sure if you did Gods of war yet from Hysteria (one of my favorites from that album) even try some of their stuff after Hysteria LIke When Love and Hate Colide.... Hmm it would even be interesting to hear some of your thoughts on their Slang Album... not my favorite but it would be interesting to hear your take on their different style .... Peace and love !

This album came out when I was 13, I remember one of my mates had it on vinyl and everybody wanted to borrow it to record onto tape. This was the album when it just all came together for Def Leppard, they didn't put a note wrong. Obviously some people will say they preferred another album simply because this one was commercially more successful.

Def Leppard are a classic band. I am not sure if you have checked out any track from High 'n' Dry ( 1981). This is the album before their breakthrough album 'Pyromania' and definitely worth the effort. Slightly different sound than later albums - more of a raw sound. My favourite song from the album is 'Mirror, Mirror (Look into my eyes)'.
@Jessica_Roth10 ай бұрын
They did "Let It Go", but that's it. They haven't *touched* "On Through the Night" at all. Which sucks for me, since I pretty much BEG for "It Don't Matter" every chance I get, but so it goes.
@Jessica_Roth10 ай бұрын
Hysteria is an excellent album and this song rocks! That said, I am almost literally itching for you to get back to the first two albums ("On Through the Night" and "High N' Dry") and the days of Pete Willis and Steve Clark's dual-lead guitar attack. You have only been there once and you *loved* "Let It Go", so why not come back? SO many bangers waiting for you. I particularly crave "It Don't Matter", but "Lady Strange" and "Wasted" and "Rock Brigade" and Hello America".and many others will satisfy. Heck, you could even go back to the original 1979 "The Def Leppard EP" for "The Overture" or "Getcha Rocks Off" Remember, the band may LOOK different with brown-haired Joe and a VERY young Rick Allen, but they *really* knew how to rock! Dig deep, please!

I was going back through some of the older reactions and it looks like ya'll have reacted to almost every popular song Def Leppard had except one. In my personal opinion Steve Clark was one of the best guitar players of his time. He came up with some of the best rifs thats ever been played. Eerie or sad they always brought all their songs together. His death was a massive loss not only to the band but also the music industry. Since you like the guitar and she likes the story telling listen to White Lightning. Steve is playing the main guitar part and the song is about his life.

Hysteria was the first album from the band after Rick Allen's accident. It comes with tons of energy and positivity!! I truly believe there is a direct correlation to what happened. Def Leppard came out blazing ready to prove to the world that the accident made them STRONGER! I believe the album proved that and showed a little more diversity in their music. IMO High N' Dry and Pyromania contain their "hardest" material though. While that may be true, I still believe Hysteria is their best overall album to date. @RobSquadReactions

Great song for sure! To some others, Yeah me too, old school rocker who was there when it was happening, we liked High and Dry then Pyromania as much or more than this gigantic album, for some Hysteria was a change in direction somewhat as the band reinvented itself to so.e extent after the accident, with a bit more commercial a sound to some, but that broadened their audience and made them superstars. No doubt in any event, it is a great album and they overcame tragedy to innovate the drums for Rick and make new fans world wide. Anyway, you gotta love Def Leppard, anything they did in the 80s is gold, including their overlooked, first album, On Through the Night. Do the classic banger, Wasted, it is a killer track and let everyone know early on, these guys were for real. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶 P.S. First of many times I saw Def Leppard was in 1983, with Gary Moore on his Corridors of Power tour opening, the Krokus being a killer 2nd on bill, they did a killer Screaming in the Night. All that for $8.50. 😄

This is probably my favorite song off of the Hysteria album, but as others have said you should definitely listen to their stuff off of High N’ Dry, On Through The Night or Pyromania. To me that stuff was harder/more rocking than Hysteria. On Hysteria, they started to go in a more melodic direction. It was still good, but you have a lot of old timers that prefer the harder sounding Def Leppard. Me, I like both.

Going into deeper cuts for some of these bands which are great but I still think you have some essentials to hit. You have covered John Waite Solo and John Waite in Bad English but have not listened to the Babys, which was his band in the late 70s. They had two really great songs (Isn't it Time and Every Time I Think of You). Two power ballads before power ballads became popular in the 80s. I'd also like to see you react to Don't Tell Me You Love Me by Night Ranger. Like you did with Extreme you listened to their most atypical song first (Sister Christian).
