No to the Byredo palette, yes to the Bobbi Brown one, no to all the Chantecaille ones (unusual for me), yes to the Guerlain pearl lipstick case... however, I find their lipsticks too perfumed to wear daily and the fragrance doesn’t dissipate for me. They have made one for Valentine’s Day too - 214 is red with hearts embossed on the bullet and the case is white crystals with red crystals forming a heart shape. So pretty! cushions are my favourite formula! They are convenient, portable, usually have stunning packaging and are pretty much always lightweight! From my experience, you can adjust the coverage from sheer to full by adjusting the pressure put on the puff and before applying tapping excess off. Cushion Foundations originate from Korea (just like BB cream) and are still selling like hot cakes there, and i believe that their formulas are rather advanced considering cushions. I have over 20 cushions from every brand possible and can only aknowledge how good they are:) sure there have been some misses, but most of them were amazing!:)

Erin, it's always so great to hear your thoughts on "buy or not" new releases. I'm definitely slowing down with my make up purchases this year. I have to be really, really extra excited about something to make that final "click" and buy. Byredo looks tempting, but at the same time, it's just too much color I would probably use a couple of times this year. Plus, I feel like I already have those shades in all my Natasha Denona combined palettes. I really don't appreciate the special packaging of already existing eyeshadows, so TF is a skip. But yes! I'm excited to see your review of the Tubereuse Nue!! It looks and sounds so promising! It might be a dream scent!! Can't wait for your video unboxing and reviewing it! As for PML Divine Rose collection, I'm over it. I have two large palettes and the limited rose gold packaging. Please let us know if the quad adds really something special to the collection because right now, looking at the photo, I just feel like some of those pink shades are just sooo very close to the Divine Rose II large eyeshadow palette. I'm not at all excited about the ND Love mini. Like you, I already own the large Love palette and blush in the pretty fun packaging. Again, this looks like "repetition" to me. The Chantacaille Butterfly quad looks amazing- the packaging is everything. I own the Hummingbird darker quad, and I really like the shades, so I'm on the fence on this new one. As you said, the shades are pretty "boring", except that shimmering one, I think. Not sure, I'm skipping for now, but I may revisit some time later. I definitely praise the brand for supporting all those different conservation causes. That's is why I'm actually more willing to buy products from them. The new BB palette looks really good and "complete", as you mentioned. I see that shiny shade in a top row may be similar to one of the PML shades in the Divine Rose II. For now, it's a skip for me though. I'm looking forward to see your Guerlain review! I saw your sneak-peeks on Instagram and I love the lipstick cases!! I love your video! I own both Chantecaille quad and Future skin cushion foundation and they are amazing. The green shadow in the top right corner is very unique and the foundation is the best (even better than the Future Skin gel foundation which was my HG). As for Dior, the Tutu eyeshadow quint is one of my go-to palette. Elegant, fun to work with and versatile. Highly recommend!

I love the Chantecaille Butterfly Collection. I got it a few days ago. The eyeshadows are lighter but can be built up. The duo chrome or it might be a triochrome green (2) looks beautiful next to the purple (4). I love this palette and am glad I got it. I think the colors are so happy. It is very difficult to see the colors on camera, but I think it looks beautiful in person and you can wet them to give them a more dramatic look. The peach blossom lip chic is very pretty / natural looking.

I’m one of the Dior fans who’s just gone after the Wild Brown and quietly using every brown-based quint they’ve got. New Look, Tribal, Grand Bal, Mitzgah, Jungle (that green is so perfect), Poncho...and now they’ve issued the perfect orange lip shade for me in Sillage. I would have bought more orange lip shades, but they made them in that icky matte formula I hate.

Im excited for your PML quad video! I dont have any of the divine rose palettes because i cant figure out which one i want to buy. Since theyre so pricey i dont want to buy multiple palettes. I did pick up the ND mini love even tho i do have the midi size as well. I purchased it because it seemed more cool toned and that was my biggest critique with the midi is that its so vibrant. Dior seems to be one of those brands that i purchase because its pretty and its a decent priced luxury brand. However then it just gets stuffed in the back of a drawer. Theres other brands i love so much more. That byredo palette looks like it should be at claires. Not being mean. They do come out with some vibrant palettes. But the packaging always makes it extra special. The big palette wouldnt stand out in a drawer full of gorgeous packaging so id never grab it. It would just fly under the radar.

The only cushion compact I ever picked up was a Lancôme cushion blush. It is nice but I would not repurchase a cushion product again I think. For tinted moisturizer/light foundation I prefer a tube or bottle, for cream blush I prefer a stick to cushion. I like light coverage though so I should be the target for cushion compacts, I don't know why I'm not drawn to them! The Dior blush compact I could have been interested in since it's supposed to be water based (??) and they have a beautiful lavender shade that's good for tired skin that needs a bit of a fresh effect. I think I will prefer the Diorskin nude air loose powder though!

Body Heat is going to be my first Tom Ford palette and the pink packaging is what made me pull the trigger!! But I do agree that: Insolent "Rose" should have come in the "Rose" Prick packaging! I like light to medium coverage in foundations and I started using cushion foundations this fall because they are the best at not emphasizing my new dry patches. I don't get dry patches during the summer so it will be interesting to see how the cushion foundations perform then...

Yeah, the Byredo palette is out for me too. I feel like those prisma/gem-toned colors are very early 90’s, which has come around again in many ways, but I don’t have an interest 🤷🏼‍♀️. I love the Chantecaille Spring eyeshadow palette and Guerlain lipsticks 🙂. Other than that, everything seems redundant, and I feel like justifying purchasing them comes down to preference of formula and wear only.

Gierlain meteorites in pink are a powder blush; there’re two meteorites in this collection, and the light pearlescent one is an actual powder. Well those are nearly impossible to find anyway. I do have a meteorites powder blush from a summer collection a couple of years ago; and I just opted for regular meteorites, they look pretty similar to this new release, even the packaging:))

Hi Erin, the Dior quint I got in Soft cashmere I really love and use! Even without eye primer, it lasts well and the shades are fab. I'm not planning on adding much to my smaller curated collection unless something really is outstanding (usually Chanel!) Agree with you that you should get excited when buying something rather than have lots of things that are just so so. I'm so much happier since I cleared crap out in 2020 and bought less but things I love to use (mostly Chanel and Dior!)

Loved the Video! I had a tough desicion-making about the new Natasha Denona Items but skipped it so far, mainly because I just created my personal purple Palette from Lethal Cosmetics (Berlin) which I love! :D I wanted to tell you about my Dior Quints, I really love the Quints, way more than all the Quats from other brands, for example the 5 Couleur "Attract" one from the Summer 2017 Collection, love to take it for vacation or short trips, suits my dark brown eyes so good, but you had a point, it sometimes gets neglected, in my case because of bigger palettes with more versatility, thats why I skip on new ones even if I´d love the color story :) but just got the new Dior lipstick in 525 Cherie an love it! :D

The Doir powder cushion is awesome! I have very dry skin and it’s very moisturizing and soft and gives a beautiful finish. I was really surprised I think you would be too if you tried it.😎🎶❤️ The Doir eyeshadow quits are lovely. Very different formula and I was afraid to try the new ones at first but now I’m hooked. Great video! Let’s see - no to cushion foundation, and I passed on the Chantecaille, Guerlain, ND, NARS, etc. I bought the Tom Ford Insolent Rose and am not impressed with the formula. It doesn’t compare to the wet-dry formula and I wish I had skipped it! I bought the two new Dior quints and am loving both Pink Sakura and Grand Bal (the other 2 I have). I also bought some of the Chanel Le Blanc collection, and the Pat McGrath quad! 💕

I love the newly reformulated Dior quints. Dior really upped their game so much with their eyeshadow that I think Chanel has to catch up a little bit. I have almost all of the quints except for Poncho, Grand Bal, and Tribal, which I plan to get in the future. I have not even worn the holiday Pat Mcgrath and Natasha Denona palettes I got because I’ve been wearing Dior so much. The big surprise is Tom Ford. What happened to their eye palette releases?! The repeat shades and the quality going down....I’ve been skipping purchasing TF. Erin, I saw your Chanel Les Perles review. The collection looks beautiful on you, but I’m still on the fence. Can’t decide if it’s worth the buy for me. Have to check out Guerlain as per your recommendation.

With regards to that Byredo palette just think about the colourful Dior 2020 palette. Did you ever use that and it’s only 5 shades? I think it’s more for professionals who use it for editorial or runway. Sticking with Dior I love my quints, Soft Cashmere is one of my most used. I agree with you make up should excite you. If I’m counting down the days to it’s release then I know I’ve gotta have it. I’ve ordered the Pat McGrath divine Rose II in the pink packaging as my order for it last year was cancelled like so many other’s from outside the US. It excites me now as much as it did then.

I did too! I also love it and it was my first cushion ever. I have the original and still love it too for different reasons. The compact is so beautiful too. I dont use the little sponge that is included. I use a damp sponge.

Cushion foundations are often not popular in America because of the shade ranges. If the brands only bring out 4/5 colors then people can’t try them to even know if they will take off. I ended up buying the last Tom Ford cushion compact and it was beautiful, but my shade was the deepest one and I would be considered a dark/deep tan in an inclusive shade range.

I was excited about cushion foundation at first, up until I head your view in a previous video - how unhygienic it is to have the cushion. And I agree. I thought it will be convenient for on the go to retouch, but I don’t know if that’s even a good idea. When Chanel launched its cushion foundation- (les beiges?) in 2017, even the sales associates were not too enthusiastic about it. It was gel formula, light coverage........ If cushion foundation is done right - if the packaging is right size (not too bulky, not too much quantity) and for summer, glowy - it will work - for me!

Hi Erin, I was so upset when I saw PM Divine Rose II in the rose packaging. I already have it in the black packaging as I missed out on the pink and was so annoyed - almost ordered it for the packaging 😂 but stopped myself. I ordered the Chantecaille cushion, the Butterfly quad and 1 of the lip veils from the collection. I have never used a cushion foundation but always wanted to buy the Chantecaille Future Skin but hated the pot it came in so decided to try the cushion. 💗 You are making me want to order the new Guerlain lipstick cases and meteorites.

Not interested in seeing the big colorful eyeshadow palette or the Nars collection reviewed, but I would like to see the Bobbi Brown palette. I know you have said you don’t typically purchase Charlotte Tilbury quads, but if Fire Rose came back would you consider it? Everyone here on KZbin loved it and many say it’s their favorite CT quad or it was in their top 5 palettes of the year. The matte just looks really dark, if it leaned more plum I would really like it though. You look beautiful as always!

I don’t own any TF eye palettes. But I think I’ll get Honeymoon over Body Heat. I’m actually not a fan of the pink packaging. The new TF scent is horrendous. I was given a sample and hated it. Smells like cheap, flowery hand soap. I own many TF scents but that was a hard no for me! Love your resistance with new purchases. I appreciate your being mindful. Skip Tom Ford. I was so disappointed for the same reasons you described. I will say that the Casablanca shade is one of my favorites for his lipstick.

It’s a beautiful lipstick shade, I just wish I didn’t already own so many lipsticks! It’s such a shame they didn’t come out with a different eyeshadow palette in the pink packaging. It’s so expensive to regret it later on! Xx

Hi, Erin:)! Thank you for your wonderful video as always💓 My hands down best cushion compact foundation is JUNG SAEM MOOL skin nuder cushion. Usually I’m not cushion compact foundation person, but after I saw this foundation buzzed around Korea and Japan, I gave a shot. This cushion foundation is very similar to Koh Gen Do moisture foundation but more coverage and long-wearing. I like it apply with sponge. If you have a chance, please give it a try😆✨You might love it too!

I like the look of the Byredo palette but then I'm one who wears Halloween make up every day ;) It reminded me of recent KVD palette minus the neutral colours so probably an easy skip for you!

I have never tried cushion foundations but I have been interested! I personally like light weight, your skin but better foundations mostly because I have sensitive skin lol I'm so excited to see your review on the Guerlain collection! I have wanted to purchase the meteorites but I never understood how to use them. I'm also waiting for the Sephora sale to buy makeup but nothing is screaming 'buy me!' which I'm actually happy about lol 😂 I do however want the new matte lipsticks from guerlain

Don’t get the Byredo palette Erin. It will be reduced in a few months I bet. On another note...I tried The Favourite by Henhaligon in amongst my Masterclass samples. Wow..wow. I am going to save it for an interview I have coming up at my company. This job represents a pretty big bump up and this fragrance makes me feel safe, comfortable and confident. Plus ‘The Favourite’ May be a Good omen. Penhaligon fragrances are next level. I would rather have less of so so, and just a few wow fragrances. Thanks for your great videos. Tx

I picked up DR II in the pink packaging, even though I have it. I also picked up the highlighter. All my other favourite brands I have skipped on. Both versions of the metiorites, yes😍. The recent Dior quints, I have not picked up, as I have a substantial collection of quints, which are enough for me, plus they have not excited me.

Skip Bydero. I can’t see you wearing those shades. I do have the PM Rose pallet and quad on the way and I’m so excited about those although I do have the first rose pallet. PM shadows are amazing to me. I did skip the highlighter because I have so many lately. I’ll probably still get it when I see it. Duh! Weakness will hit me. Lol. All major eyeshadow brands seem to reiterate the same pinkish-lilac colour story: mini love (ND), Insolent Rose (TF), Eternal Eden (PMG), Pink Sakura (Dior)...Is there some great makeup guru that tells them which is the holy grail of colour schemes for the season?

It’s a big No for Byredo palette. I have been avoiding big palettes unless it’s Pat McGrath then I can never resist. I’m wanting the Dior Pink Sakura quad but it has been sold out for awhile. I ordered the Tom Ford Desert Fox which looks beautiful. I’m going to stop buying beauty related things for awhile because the releases aren’t grabbing me anymore. I’m trying to enjoy what I have from 2020 still 👄💗😊

I’m interested in the Nars and Bobbi Brown palettes as well! As for Dior shadows I LOVE their formula and usually always wear Dior but I tend to lean towards the limited editions because they are usually more eye catching color stories but I find everything they have released so far in 2021 so boring.

Don' t pick up Byredo you'll regret it! It's just super pretty to look at! And I can totally understand your fascination with it. I picked up the Natasha Denona Mini Love against my better judgement. A total waste of money. But it looked so pretty in the pan. lol Really looking forward to your review to the Devine Rose II luxe quad Eden! Don't buy the Chantecaille quad. The shadows are just very light washes of color and in my opinion the shimmery shade is a very weird greenish-golden shimmer. I don't own it but I saw a couple of reviews and was thoroughly underwhelmed.

So many people asked Pat McGrath to bring back the LE packaging and now they are complaining because she came out with it. That's so strange. I like the new collection, I have Divine Rose 2 and think it is very versatile, I think I will pick the liquid lipsticks up, at least the divine rose one. The highlighter is absolutely gorgeous, but I have so many highlighters. I would buy anything Dior launched, honestly.

Skip Byredo. If clown and juvenile are two adjectives that come to mind, you know it is a hard skip. Yes to the Bobbie Brown palette. I am actually really interested in the Urban Decay Wild West palette as a throw back. Chantecaille should have actually given us a turquoise in that pretty butterfly 🦋 compact.

I actually love the Dior quints and the Nude Dress and Rouge Trafalgar are my go-to's right now and Im waiting for the Dior compact to be out here cause I love love love Dior complexion products. Ive been using the Forever foundation from way back, lol, I always go back to it and the reformulation is my top one; the primer tough, having oil skin Ill stay away from it. From Guerlain everything looks so pretty and good but Ill skip it and as for the other brands, I dont really care for them, EXCEPT maybe that Tuberose New parfum, ill have to smell it cause i really dont appreacite the longetivity of TF fragrances for that price.
