For me it’s having the integrity to follow through with commitments. Being honest and allowing me to trust that their words are the truth. I can count on them.

I loved how simple you guys broke this down, and thank you for acknowledging that someone else’s love language may not make sense to you. My boyfriend is words of affirmation and I always feel so phony when I try and speak to him that way because it’s so foreign to me. My love languages are time and acts of service, so words carry no weight for me. Subscribed and can’t wait to watch more!

Also I really think a big part of words of affirmation, is being there with verbal support and encouragement in difficult times. Verbal empathy in hardships.

My wife’s love languages is Words of Affirmation and it’s so hard for me to stay consistent with her love language I try to do better but then I fall right back and then she gets upset because I only do it for a lil bit any tips to stay consistent?

Perhaps get that checklist Vanessa mentioned at the end of the video. Or set a reminder on your phone to tell your wife something you find so alluring about her☆

Great tips and I'm going to use this to improve my relationship with my wife. However, cite the author regardless of your beliefs. And just because people have different beliefs doesn't mean their negative, it's just that you disagree. I mean I just watched your video and will credit you guys even though we have different beliefs.

I totally agree about making this video you’re supporting his beliefs. This was a crazy statement to make, and not mention the persons whose work you using to create the Content.

Overall my main love languages and how I receive love are 1. Physical touch, 2. Quality time, and 3. Words of affirmation. How I give love to others are 1. Physical touch, 2. Gifts, 3. Acts of service, 4. Quality time, and 5. Words of affirmation. I do all 5 of them when I give or show my love to others.

My boyfriend doesnt quite understand my need for words of affirmation. He does a lot of sweet and loving things but doesnt know how to say words of affirmation without feeling wussy, silly or overly mushy.

I had my husband watch this and I was so thankful for the explanation and specifically the bedroom love language that can be essential to our self esteem. My husbands language is acts of service so I after watching this video I told him the good news is that words are free and take much less effort than cleaning the kitchen for me. In fact I promised him that the next time he used my love language in the bedroom that I would gladly clean the kitchen on my own with a big cheese grin on my face 😁. 🤣 Excellent video and I can’t wait to watch more!

If you don't see a more helpful comment, please pin this to the top. I have to say this for anyone struggling with this as their mate's love language. I felt SO fake doing this, and it was really important to my wife (fiancée at the time) because she grew up without it. I'm like, I am giving you words of affirmation! I was, but it wasn't enough for her. We were fighting and getting nowhere UNTIL I said something like, "You wouldn't want me to give you some fake praise like..." and I gave her a compliment in an exaggerated and joking way. She suddenly lit up and laughed. She said that's exactly what she wanted. I'm an extremely funny person, and I love making people laugh, so when I realized I could just exaggerate my comments and she would still love it, I was free. It's now the easiest thing in the world for me. She complimented me today or yesterday about how good I've gotten with it now. So, my advice is to have fun with it. I always enjoy making her laugh. I can even do it in public and with friends and family, which she REALLY loves.

Instead of calling Gary Chapman out, go to the source. The Bible is where homosexuality and fornication are identified as sin. Instead, why not just say you don't agree with the Bible? At least you say what you believe.

This is isn’t quite worded right but my point being to leave his name out is quite petty ..he has his ideals and must be a sharp person to write this book
