@@Madenthewest - this story is so old. As Terry McMillian would say, "you are a day late and a dollar short." I am not busy at the moment, so let me go ahead and entertain you. I don't have the right to judge, but I damn sure can give my observation...and that's what I did. I have to respectful disagree. Those kids don't hate their parents (and by the way, hate is a strong word). And it sounds like you are doing the something you are accusing me of (judging). The older kids are very disappointing in the way their parents raised them. This season all of the older kids are coming around and communicating more with their parents. They raised their kids by Bible principle. Let me leave you with this, they aren't your (nor) my kids, so how Kim and Barry choose to raise their kids is (none of) "our" business. Take care!

Yes, indeed. Nothing better than a Sunday love offering to line their parents' pockets. You would think that the parents at least purchased the instruments for the children. Wow, that's instilling some real work ethic right there. Excuse me while I go vomit in disgust.

They were homeschooled and are more intelligent and have more book smarts than any children in public or private school. This has been proven with the scores on the SAT scores from all of the ones who have taken it. To not have to do any refresher courses when & if they do decide if they decide to go to college. They also play more instruments than most children in any family of a public or private school education. I wonder how many parents on here can actually say that about their own children, & be honest with the answer?

@rayaspinall28942 жыл бұрын
That’s ridiculous- Olivia ‘turned’ them?? They’re not flapjacks in a pan! They’re people. Whatever the world view of the parents who raised them, Olivia and Ethan chose each other as life partners. Their relationship deserves respect. As kids reach adulthood and leave the childhood home, it’s inevitable their horizons will expand beyond the narrow bounds of their parent’s ambition. The relationship with Creation is inherently personal. No matter how impious you judge them to be, it should be obvious that these people are not ‘impure’. They’re subject to the judgement of an over-opinionated public, though they were never complicit in their parents’ decision to make their lives a public show.

@849534 жыл бұрын
The music sounded pretty damn good however, I would suggest that if you have someone in the family who can do it, do your sound for you. You can't hear what the audience is hearing if you are behind the performers. And setting mic levels is not like setting lighting levels. Any changes in the level that someone is singing, difference of their relative position to the mic is all going to affect things, and to help make it sound even better, a person mixing real time from the back of house will make a big difference. With so much moving around, it's hard to hear the balance between the instruments. The women/girls sharing the one mic had a great balance between them, however I had real problems with the bass vocal. What you could hear of his voice was suffering the "proximity effect" so that it was muffled and distorted. All of this could have been remedied by one, having the bass move the mic at least 2 fingers away from the mic, and two having someone mixing from front of house. That would be in the back of the room that you are performing in. Also, all monitor speakers should be pointed toward the performers. This way, the cardioid pattern of the mics help reduce the chances of feedback. I couldn't tell from the video, but it looked like one of your mains was all the way upstage behind the piano. If you have them all the way back there, all you're doing is adding more to what the mics are going to pic up which one, leads to real problems with feedback, and two only muddies up the sound going through the system. With all that said, it certainly wasn't horrible so far as the sound goes. So far as the vocals and instruments: FANTASTIC!!!!!!
