I love everyone in Muse but what I find so sad of this scene is that Honoka is the one that inspired everyone to push forward and do thir best. Even when everyone hesitates or feels weak or embarassed she leads the way by showing how to face their challenges, yet the moment she is broken and feels disillusioned instead of trying to understand why, they get offended and judge her for it. If love live was more realistic it would have explored this situation more in depth.

It is also unfair to Umi that they wouldn't show her apologizing. She slapping Honoka must have hurt her as much as it hurt Honoka, yet they just write it off as if they both just accepted it and moved on. I don't think any real person would just write something like that off and pretend it never happened.

This was such a big deal back then. Even I looked up to Honoka and I wasn't an idol. To see someone like her persue her dreams and shine while also pulling others to her goal was so inspiring. To just see her quit like that was a shock to the system. This Honoka didn't feel like the real Honoka. And this is after her and Kotori I think had a massive argument and they had a setback in their rankings. This episode was brutal to watch especially as a Honoka fan. Seeing her break had me break too. The true Honoka would fall back on her friends and either face her problems head on (Kotori) or rely on her friends and continue her dream while shes away through all adversaties. She doesnt realize how many people rely on her and that all idol groups go through this at one point. I never thought of Honoka as a quitter and it gave her such realism to me that she's not perfect and no matter what you strive for youll always stumble before you can run and sometimes you need to stop and take stock of what youre doing and whos behind you.. It did seem a little selfish on her part as well especially when her and Kotori have a TERRIBLE communication issue... Umi earned HUGE points for what she did.

I hated when she did that. She could just destroy her dream by herself, she could just be sad by herself. But she destroyed her friends' dreams and made them sad too! That's not what a friend does.

Honoka was being selfish due to her frustration for not be ready to go to Love Live and compete against A-Rise, even she even didn't think in her friends whom want to try it. So sorry for Honoka but she deserved that slap.

Honoka was feeling horrible because she caused Muse to be disqualified, but specially because she was losing her best friend at the same time. She was so focused on the goal that she lost sight of where she was standing and ended up hurting those she loved most. She was scared to try again and fail, a fear that still lingers by the beginning of next season. And no, she didn't deserve it. Imagine being depressed down to your guts and being slapped for it.

I hated this godawful episode, they got all the happy vibes from the show and backstabbed us with this soap opera esque disaster of an episode with constant overly dramatic moments with kotori storming off crying eli style and nico being restrained from beating honoka up because honoka quit, and also, HONOKA QUIT, AND UMI SLAPPED HER IN THE FACE WHILE CRYING CALLING HER A TERRIBLE PERSON! godawful way to end such a good series
