Starr, I don't know what you saw here. This woman has given this man 9 years of her life, and he didn't think enough of her to marry her. Now she is going blind and he's whining about being the sole breadwinner, and providing safety to her when no one is providing a safety net for him. Mr. Coleman stood in your courtroom and said the other woman had her own car, her own apartment, her own job while Ms. Bluitt doesn't have anything. I don't think this is the first time he has recited all the "positive" things that the witness has that Ms. Bluitt doesn't have. I think he has probably thrown that in Ms. Bluitt 's face many times leading to her insecurity. She probably feels that his fear of not having a safety net will lead him to pursue a woman who can provide that safety. Since she is losing her sight, she will be caught short with a home and child to care for and no means of income. That has to be terrifying for her, since the thought of her being blind is clearly scaring her able bodied partner. It would have been nice if your court had offered help to her to find services that will prepare her for living with her diminished sight (job training, braille classes, info on disability benefits, how and when to file her claim, setting up her home to make life easier). You could have offered help instead of joining the cowardly Mr. Coleman in berating her for not being secure when her entire life is turning upside down and her partner is fearfully comparing her to able bodied women.

I think he throws her sickness, and the limitations created by that condition, in her face as well as the fact that he used to have women taking care of him, and now he is the sole breadwinner. He doesn't see any value in the things she's able to do for him or the household. Hearing those things, and hearing about women who have 'their own car, their own place, and a job' has to add to the fear she already has about how her life will change as her sight gets worse. Coleman is a worthless partner and Starr missed the mark in providing couples counseling and a lecture, instead of resources to help Ms. Bluitt cope, survive, and thrive in her future.

He's making her insecure and she doesn't have a real backup planned or benefits to take care of herself or she would have been left his sneaky ass. Cheating or not he has violated her trust with other women.. bringing another woman in my house on more than 1 occasion is CROSSING the line. Period.

Good man where? 🧐🧐🧐. She took him in and allowed him to stabilize himself. Now that it's time to be reciprocated in the relationship and he's trying to find an exit strategy. Unfortunately, some unmarried men his age group are looking for a partner in their relationships who operate/function as caretakers. This could be in various areas (financial, healthcare) and he may be in that category 😔.

Why is he going to have dinner with another woman for 3 hours at her house? He's out of pocket. If that woman was truly just his friend, she wouldn't be making comments about if she wanted him she could have him. I get so sick of people gaslighting people.

Insecure women always say they weren’t like this before they met you, but that’s not true. He didn’t make you this way…trauma from the past made you this way. People don’t turn you into something. I think her health issues and her past are making her hold on too tight to him and it’s straining their relationship. He isn’t the smartest guy but I don’t think he is doing anything
