Love of Life was the longest running soap while it was on the air. It got it's start on radio. In the 1950s ,soaps were 15 minutes in length

Guiding Light was originally about a minister and his family on radio.

There were one or two episodes of LOL, LIAMST, ATWT, GL, and EON from the actual year 1970 that were on YT, but were actually removed. Why is not known. But as 1970 seemed to be a cliffhanger year for CBS soap operas, it seems a shame that these early color/B&W crossovers can’t be seen by the general public this way anymore…

My mom watched soaps when we were little. But after we grew up she went to work and stopped watching them.

I think tha😢t during irs early years as a 15-minute soap, LOVE OF LIFE spent more time focusing on commercials than on the story line.
