Its not the end of the world, and you still have a future if you continue to work hard. Its ridiculous but in the least now you get the opportunity to move on towards a new vision of the future, the prospect of that should excite you, for yourself and your son. You've actually got a great gift in front of you, and many people will not even get as far as you have. Enjoy your family and be happy with them because time is fleeting

Just like learning guitar, you have to learn songs and practice those everyday. Find ones that fit well with your range and voice. Also don't be afraid to push yourself with harder songs. Record yourself singing and try to hear what you can do better. Work on getting your pitch accurate and tone smooth. Also watch some videos on youtube for singing and breathing exercises. I was bad at singing too and felt like there was no hope at first, but I gained more motivation as I slowly started seeing improvement. Like with any instrument, you will get better as you practice mindfully everyday
