Lee Christie it would be more accurate to say its an evolutionary selected genetic trait. In fact it’s an excellent example of natural selection in action. It’s also why confronting a female about her hypergomy is pointless. They’re hard wired to be that way by selective forces. Great content! I had substance abuse issues for 10 years and during the time I met my future Filipina wife. I had it under control I thought, I worked I was making money and I thought I would was doing fine. Well to make a long story short she found out about it and I had 2 choices. A great video. I love your sense of humour. I once met a Filipina on a dating site and then travelled to Manila to meet her in person. She turned out to have a serious acne problem - which you couldn`t see in her photos - so right from the start I knew we weren`t going anywhere as far as a relationship was concerned. She was nice and friendly so I had no heart to be upfront about my disappointment and we spent three days together in Manila. Acne wasn`t the only issue - she was also incredibly clingy and possessive and I didn`t like it. She immediately started talking about marriage and children, even though we had barely met. I knew I would never want to see her again but at the same time I didn`t want to hurt her feelings so I didn`t make a clear breast of it before leaving Manila. She then kept pestering me with her messages for two years. The whole experience was quite a hassle.

Very intelligent discussion regarding love. Id just like to add that things are similar all over the world, but with some cultural input. Parents in the West also want their children to marry well. Men don't need to be in love to enjoy intimacy, so the preening might be just for a temporary mate. And women often fall for the bait and think that the man will commit or can be enticed to commit. Whispered sweetness in your ear, and some women over the acceptance cause no shortage of problems. Courtship is better than dating....

I once heard someone explain that whenever a foreigner shows interest in a Filipina and he asks if she has a boyfriend she always says no, even if she does have a Filipino boyfriend. The reason is that she does not feel she is lying because in her mind she just broke up with her province boyfriend the instant the foreigner asked her for a date. Im pretty secure financially, but while in s.e. asia, i tell everyone im broke, i borrowed money to get there lol. It works, im left alone ,and hook up with a woman when need be . I lived in central america for 8 years, and it was the same sanario as asia, so when i went the first time, i had a heads up on how things work in asia. Lot's of true words here with wisdom beyond your years. Love is an emotion mostly brought on by the release of Oxytocin and few other chemicals to the brain. They usually stop flooding the brain in about three years. Devotion, on the other hand, is an objective choice a person makes of their own free will. Another great video Pea! I have two filipina girlfriends. One has a great body and is very nice, but lives with her parents. One day I felt like her chat answers were infuenced by someone else. She responded that her mother told her about the way foreignors are. I could immediately feel the coldness of her mother. This drove me to search for another Filipina. And so, I found another. The new one doesn't live with her parents. So far, after 5 months, her behavior has been consistent and we seem to be doing fine. I hope she is my diamond in the rough. But, you are absolutely right in your ascertion of over bearing mother's. I'm leaving my other girl because of it. I can almost feel her mother breathing down her neck whenever we talk. Something is just not right. After being scammed once, I'm not risking it again. She can thank her mother for our breakup. Although we still talk, there is something suspicious and hidden in her answers to some of my questions. I've learned to be brutally honest and outright with my questions, which gets me some surprising answers sometimes. Keep up the good work Pea, you are the best!👍

I don't see how someone so young can understand so much. I am getting divorced from my Filipina after she dropped me like a bag of dirt several months ago. The most hurtful thing 3 she said was "I can do better". For me, the whole idea of being married is that you don't have to look or compare. You just make the best with what 3 you chose to work with as a spouse. Hypergomy is a concept I never heard of before. I see one of the Keys to happiness is to know when to be grateful for what you have. To realize that ambition always comes with suffering. Ironically since all the drama of our relationship is gone, I have experienced so much prosperity you could not imagine. Relationships where the partners are unsteady and can't decide3 if they are committed or not cost talented people their inheritance. All the productive energy gets used up trying to make something work that wasn't really meant to work. I enjoy your insights. Keep up the good work.

Always enjoy your videos and your takes, Pea. they open dialogues. 1. I, as a man, agree that physical attraction is important, but as I've got older it has become less relevant. Pretty is of course still pretty, but there has to be some substance to underpin that. So the balance has shifted and I suspect men become more discerning as they get older. there is also less insecurity. Many of us get to the point where our partners are not trophies to be paraded. I take the attitude, so what if you don't find my partner attractive, you're not dating her, I am and I do :) 2. Preening is more of a young man's game I had the car, the job, the clothes. came to realise it means nothing, as long as you have enough to fulfil your needs why need more. I have better things to do than sit and drool over my bank account! 3. Never cheated, would love a life partner. 4. Funnily enough always preferred no or little make-up, the clue is in the words (make-up = pretend) 5. Mother Nature has a wicked sense of humour. Is there a reciprocation, comparable to the Oxytocin dump on men, for women I wonder? 6. Hypergamy is real of course but if we are slaves to our little lizard brains then we are lost as humans.

Pea you are awesome. Never really believed in the notion of love as we learn about as a child. But, I do believe in mutual commitment and caring. IMO , men often ignore practical compatibilities since we are so strongly influenced by sex drive. And the more desperate and lonely a man is , the more likely he is to be scammed. Such a huge gap in the biological drives of men and women. Oxytocin acts more on the woman herself and is the gateway to attraction, whereas her unique body smells , or pheremones are the most powerful aphrodisiac to excite a male. Back in the day, when I was courting my future Asian wife... a new maid arrived at her parental house. The maid copied my girlfriend's clothing and makeup and always smiled sweetly at me. I knew what was happening and I must admit I enjoyed the attention. At the time I felt it drew my infuriated girlfriend closer to me, which for me was beneficial and I only really had eyes for my girlfriend anyhow. I look back now at the fireworks between the two of them, especially the time when both of them were wearing the exact same top. Heck did my girlfriend explode.

Lets Dissect the Topic....LOVE dirty little Secret.......LOVE : can not be associated with DIRTY or SECRETS...lets not Confuse LOVE with ATTRACTION...there is no such thing as " LOVE at First SIGHT " ....when you see a Person you are Attracted to them Physically because Emotionally you do not know them. It just gets me upset when I hear people say " I use to Love that Person " ...LOVE is or its NOT..there is no Switch to turn on/off...I will break it down to a Simple Definition : LOVE is Putting someone else's Feelings before your own..NO MATTER WHAT THE COST...there is no mention of physical Appearance or Sex or Attraction...LOVE is being totally focused on the Well being of another Person.

Too many men are unaware of hypergamy. The one problem that bites females in regards to the hypergamy is if they try to make that move to the bigger, better deal later on in life after they have hit “the wall.” Then they really have no options and they may have blown what was a really good solid relationship. Then they can’t go back.

I was in the Philippines in 1967. Looking at the videos of Angeles City, it has drastically changed and improved. I really loved it there. I also spent a week in Baguio. So clean and the people treated us like stars. It was like a dream. Love your presentations. I’m hooked. Best of luck pretty lady.

My maternal uncle is from Pakistan 🇵🇰 and married to a Filipino 🇵🇭 for more then 22 years now. My aunt is a wonderful lady. They both have 3 kids and they are spending an absolute normal life. The only thing matters is the mature approach towards keeping and maintaining a relationship. My aunt is a very devoted wife and a mother. I also have traveled alot to the Philippines to there place and have seen and observed Filipino girls loyal to there partners. One of my family cousin also got married with a Filipino and they are also living a very normal life. I believe Filipino girls are very loving and loyal to there partners.

I experienced all that over here in the west. I don't know that it is any different over there. Parents were always against me from the start for one reason or another. I was always honest and faithful while their beloved daughters cheated and lied and stole money from me. Bad parents raise bad kids apparently. No honor. Funny thing is they all tried to get back with me but I refused. I never worry about it. I don't experience jealousy. What matters to me most is that I acted appropriately and can live with myself.

You'd have to go into ready to lose all, I suppose, but if you're not setting everything on her loyalty, if you're in charge of your own happiness and in a healthy relationship and not only valuing what is copious and Rock solid permanent whole avoiding temptation to cut n run every time things are hard....then welcome to not fighting reality! Everyone not only wants what they want; no matter what, they want it to come the way they want it. It's profound and tricks our own self! We tell ourselves we cannot be happy Bec it's not perfect to us in every way. That's looking at what's missing and wanting more and more, instead of choosing to be happy.
