I'm sure you figured this out by now, but only the loose pages you read were Sam. The ones that got pinned to the wall. Everything in the book was Kyle. I knew something was up because from the beginning I was like unless this game is going for bipolar themes, there's no way she could talk so normally and then be completely psycho in the same diary.

That was great. The different endings were also very satisfying, alongside despite being such a text based game, not many errors at all, which puts it heads and shoulders above most indie horror games. A very believable story as well, without requiring supernatural forces.

I get recommended your videos because I watch John religiously. Glad there’s another Gamer more similar to him than dorks like Ninja or Jelly. 8-bit Ryan is entertaining and does primarily horror but he screams a lot and does a lot of cuts in his edits so the videos are pretty short. I like when there’s a guy I can just watch not necessarily to be on the edge of my seat due to the gameplay but genuinely to appreciate the gamer themselves and their commentary and reactions to the game. Glad you and John are friends :) I didn’t mean to say you two are too similar, but it’s refreshing to see someone just be more of a relaxed player and not someone yelling for the sake of entertainment

Galia Norman yeah, I’m not into overreactions or hamming it up for the audience either. Makes the time where they actually react to something scary better. It ruins the horror game for me to have the player scream at the top of their lungs for every jumpscare.

This game reminds me of The Survey. The one where a teen hates his sick sister and wishes she would die because she’s a burden on the family. One day he left her in bed with a candle burning, the candle fell over and burned the house down and killed her. I can’t remember if the brother who hated her killed himself, but he was in purgatory and had to relive the issue over and over. Also before the sister died, he had to take a survey on the phone. Easily one of the most entertaining and thrilling horror games I’ve watched streamers play. But I wonder if she’s stuck in a purgatory of some sort.

From your description, it's like you're trying to read something but your brain is doing the same thing as Google's autocomplete. I can't imagine trying to read like that, and text in video games isn't always the clearest in the first place, so you did a great job. I didn't even notice until you caught yourself or said something about it. Don't beat yourself up over it too much, especially since you put so much thought into interpreting the story. It was really cool to hear about your take on this.

I don't think Kyle would have gone to jail for murder due to it being technically an accident and it isn't against the law to just leave someone to die (not trying to defend his actions). He could, however, get in trouble with burning the bag and stuff inside.

What if Kyle was in a drug induced psychosis? It would explain his paranoia, auditory and visual hallucinations. At the end when he's climbing out from under the bed, it could symbolize him coming to a state of clarity and escaping his psychosis. That's if he was an addict. 🤷‍♀️

I think it's really well crafted as a game but honestly I hate the story. I read it as "Poor little straight girl was murdered by awful gay guy. Gay guy had 'it coming to him' even before that and was doomed FOR being gay." I dunno I don't know if that's what the devs intended but that's how I read it
