They choose these people by looks and then it is a bonus if they have some kind of career that will bring in some money too. I just watched Bart telling his story up to the part of receiving some of Megan’s cremated remains which is within 3-4 minutes of the beginning of the show. I had to watch that part again because I wasn’t sure I’d heard correctly. I have no idea where his story is going but it’s went from strange to red flag red flag red flag. He came across her profile on a dating website and began messaging then talking on the phone and their first date within 2 weeks- 2 very short weeks. The morning of their date, she calls and tells him she’s been diagnosed with leukemia and is in the hospital. Her two brothers are there and begin texting Bart. They tell him if he has any final words then he best say them. I believe this would be by text or over the phone because he never actually met her. The family has her cremated. At this point Bart said that he wasn’t going to ask for any of her cremated remains. What??? Bart why would you want any??? In less than 2 weeks, you view her profile, text then talk and arrange a date that never happened and now you’re on Dr Phil and choked up saying you weren’t going to ask for remains? First red flag, my brothers wouldn’t be communicating with some random guy I’d found on a website two weeks ago but never even met if I’m in the hospital dying. A stranger isn’t what they’d be concerned about. And as a stranger , if they contacted you then why not express your condolences and that be it. If I was dying, I wouldn’t want a stranger that I’d planned a date with in my hospital room. I wouldn’t want to be in the room of a dying stranger that I’d planned a date with. So now Bart has just received her ashes and I’m deciding if I really want to know what happens. I think he’s being scammed but can’t help thinking Barts a little- no a lot weird himself.

There should be a policy to put these people in jail for torturing nice people. Not brining them on TV and give them publicity that they don't deserve. These people are so dangerous!
