Love your reactions! ====== The spotlight scene with Momo's friends in the nurse's office references a Columbo-like detective drama from the 1990s. ====== I love that Momo & Ken alternate between adorable and being utter morons. Aira seems to be in moron mode most of the time, which tracks with what I remember of popular girls from high school. ====== Momo's friends: we support you. Aira's friends: we will help you hide bodies. ====== Momo has great heroic instincts. Her first move is usually to help or protect others. That probably comes from watching all those Ken Takakura movies. Ken's need to protect or help others seems to come from a desperate need to be everyone's friend. ====== 10:19 “Isn't dinner supposed to be a peaceful time?” Surely you noticed by now that dinner is never peaceful or quiet at Seiko's/Momo's house. Those two are delightfully insane. ====== Jiji is the boy who made fun of Momo's grandmother when they were kids. ====== I hope this doesn't turn into a Heroes For Hire thing or a Legend of Korra thing where everyone is an ex of everyone else. ====== 26:07 Look up "Kappa Japanese folklore"

Yeah we know next to nothing about his parents save he his rather poor, he never mentions them, he is able to be gone for days, and they gave him a name akin to American parents naming their kid Clint Eastwood And with Momo it was likely early, as Seiko seems to have been her caretaker for years
