I had one in the 70's, it was 2 stroke with a seperate oil reserve for mixing with the two stroke fuel. Big fat Western wheels and it went anywhere. Your videography is excellent 5 stars, from another Steve on the Gold Coast OZ

That is one neat RC car! While $240 isn’t cheap, I remember when I was 12-ish and looking at Robbe and Graupner catalogues that would have given me either a remote control _or_ a car. And having lights and indicators was elite-level custom builder stuff, not something a kid could save up for. The RC hobby is really amazing to follow these past years, the advancements and sheer number of companies willing to create quality new products makes me a tiny bit jealous of the kids these days. :P

We have Jimny’s is Aus, they have a reputation of being great 4wd vehicles which is surprising because they are tiny for a 4wd and look like they would tip over in a gust of wind. Cool RC car as well.

Hey Steve, Loved this review, I will confirm that the detail of this RC is in fact similar to the real Jimny, We have a couple in Seychelles, thats where I am from and I have seen a couple of reviews of this Suzuki Jimny, TBH I loved Suzuki cars and I use to own a 2014 Suzuki Swift, It was a great little thing, Suzuki do make great vehicles. Im also impressed with how this thing works that I may even consider looking for one.

You are lucky. I think those little Suzuki's would sell well in Canada if priced right. Suzuki no longer sells cars/trucks in Canada. They now only sell motorcycles, snowmobiles and ATVs.

Nice RC car! Not a low cost car as it is an RC car thats costs 280! More costly than some small drones of MJX... Have you ever used DJI Robomaster Steve? I like its design very much!

The Robomaster was designed as an education toy for children but DJI marketed at adults, and gaming leagues. I reviewed a "knock off one" but I have never used the real one.

great review! I admire the level of detail of this brand! But there is something that worries me a lot, is it the quality of the stock electronics, esc, battery, servo, were these 3 components designed to last long periods of use? Can Fms live up to axial, gmade, kyosho or traxxas in terms of electronic quality? Is Fms a 100% Chinese brand? Is your electronics made to last many gaming sessions? Great contribution!

FMS is currently a leader in the RC Hobby market. They started with RC Planes, but over the years added RC Cars to their line up by parterning with other companies. They are one of the few RC Car companies that tries to go for scale looking vehicles. All of their vehicles are CRAWLERS with metal gear boxes, so I would think they would last. I have a few of their vehicles that are 7 years old and still work fine.

Wow.. Great detail... Very Scale... The suspension seems to work to scale as well when you drove it outside. BTW.. You did't mention that the steering wheel moves with the wheels... Is it just me or did I see the rear right side driving light not working ?
