I always described Donna Summers' voice as though it came directly from heaven. She could hit these absolutely amazing, powerful notes with absolutely no strain on her face whatsoever. Other singers would have veins popping out of their neck and distorted expressions on their face just to produce vocals that were not nearly as powerful or perfect as Donna's. It was as though she opened her mouth, and this powerful magic just flowed from her vocal cords. She truly, truly was one of a kind.

Donna is in my opinion one of the best gifted female singers all over the world ever. Her sultry image of a woman moaning in songs like Love to love you, Could it be magic, Theme from The Deep was just a gimmick to launch her career worldwide. Since then the music radically changed with her rendition of I feel love. Thank you Donna for your talent and for beginning your career in my native Holland. We would all come out on our small street and dance and sing to her records. She was a phenomenal talent. I blasted I Feel Love so loud the neighbor on the 6th floor would come down and we were on the 2nd...he would say how many times are you going to play that song...lol..all day..I never heard anything like that..I literally fell off the couch the first time I heard it

"I Feel Love" is absolutely mind blowing, possibly the closest thing to sonic ecstasy ever committed to vinyl. It is certainly among the greatest pop songs ever created. I can just imagine the response on the Studio54 dance floor the first night it played. And as the years go by, it just gets better and better with time. It will never age.

This is absolutely fantastic…I was spellbound! I had no idea she was so articulate and creative. She composed and arranged the music for many of her biggest hits including She Works Hard for the Money. She was an artist toward the end of her career and most significantly…a mother!

For those of us that were there from the beginning, it was a magical time , and this is so long overdue. We all know the story, the ups and downs. From Oasis to Casablanca to Polygram and Geffen. We loved her from the start.

I was in complete awe throughout the entire documentary. I got emotional in the beginning and at the end 🥺 Amazing work, and what a way to honor the one of a kind Donna Summer 🌞 I’ve been a fan of hers since I was 12 years old. A true pioneer in music and beautiful lady. Long live the Queen of Disco!!! 💃🕺 🌹🕊️

Even as a kid in the 90s, I always felt this affinity for her out of many of the singers I’ve learned about back then. Her music (and Pet Shop Boys) was/is SUCH an experience for me. I will always be forever grateful for Donna Summer for sharing her talent and artistry for the world. I don’t think she’ll ever know just how much her work helped others and as a 31 year old millennial who wasn’t around for the Disco era, her music and voice helps me continue to dance and keep hoping for the best for the future. I hope to see a beautiful biopic (with Kelly Rowland of course) that celebrates her music, her life and her place in history.

"I Feel Love" is a song I could play for hours and never get tired of it. I remember one of the dances back then was the "Dinkle Twist". Oh the memories of dancing to that song...😊💗

Donna's "comeback" that blew me away was on VH-1's Divas .... years past what you thought was her prime, she emerged as strong vocally as ever!

I grew up watching and listening to this beautiful voice being blasted in my basement or on car rides to Christmas and holiday parties. I used to be so embarrassed if my dads love for this woman because of how loud he played the music but I grew up to be just like him with my favorite artist and ive grown to have a deep appreciation for the voice and beautiful being that was Donna summer. I still think she’s one of the best vocalist of all time!
