I like good old goth because the bass guitar was at the forefront and had such a prominent role.

Me too. I like the New Model Army stuff that was around at the same period, for the same reason

A huge band with a gigantic performer and an incredible personality! For those who understand...
@andrewphippsphillips14558 ай бұрын
You're aware McCoy was about 5ft 5in tall? He needed boots to gain a couple of inches. I've been backstage at the Norwich UEA and met some of the band. He came out from their dressing room & he was tiny. Maybe not an Oompa Loompa, but definitely nowhere the height you'd think he is onstage...

One of the best gut wrenching rock songs of all time. God just listening to this again is a gift bringing back the soul. You can just feel the cry from Carl.

The man in the hat is absolutely genius. And one of the most charismatic persons alive. The atmosphere, the music, the voice, lyrics... Everything is so... so. And FOTN is one of those rare bands who have really, really great live records which are pleasure to listen.

This band made so many good songs, I once wanted this played at my funeral. Now I want something cheesy, but this remains a classy song. Bjork next!
@slemtones Жыл бұрын
Interesting. Every year or so I have another bash at making a funeral playlist but then get derailed. Should it songs that I like, or songs that the attendees know and want to dance to? My list has been in the making for years, and I hope I don’t need it soon, but it’s an interesting exercise 🤣 While FOTN is my all time favourite band, Red Light Spells Danger is definitely on the playlist 🤣
