Gene Page was the man who arranged these magnificent strings and horns! He and Barry were very good friends. Sadly, they both passed at 58 years old. Their legacy should be remembered by all who hear this tune. How about a “thumbs up” for these guys?

+Maria Dent-Turner Even as a young kid, I recognized and appreciated his work. So sad that a lot of talented (especially African-American) performers are no longer here to show how it should be done.....and done right! Check out Karen Briggs; as far as I know she is still alive. She too possess a great deal of expertise, especially when it comes to classical music. Karen, of course, just like the great, late Barry White are just masters at what they do. Just magnificent. I can never get tired of this classical arrangement. Thanks DJ DiscoCatV2 for sharing this with us........keep up the good work!!

YOU are NOT missing anything ! No one sings anymore. Music (noise) is nothing but electronic generated diarrhea made with fake instruments (computers) with vocalists who could not sing a note to save their lives. The music industry is just a group of hell bent shitty low life rap crap and metal dickheads who worship Satan and belong in Hell. They offer society nothing but anger and grief. Hope they all drop dead. The world would be a better place. Bring back the 70's Lord - real music!

This beautiful instrumental defines the creativity and depth of Barry White. During the 70's when this was released, I always believed that this musical piece was the signature song exclusive to the 20th century, and beyond. I can remember this musical piece being catagorized as classical, light jazz, soft instrumental, etc. Whatever the case, " The Maestro" demonstrated his genius and abilities to produce this signature piece that resonates forever. Lastly, I can remember, classical / instrumental collector's of music who have " Love's Theme" as a serious "collections piece. To my knowledge, I am not aware of any artist today who has achieved this milestone.

LOVE THIS SONG!! It was played over a promotional bumper for our NBC station here in Jacksonville, Florida, WTLV, channel; 12, from late 1974 to early 1976. Plus it shocked me to learn that Kenny G was part of Love Unlimited as a saxophonist!!
