On a rewatch, she is right. A "duck" means you're out without a score (zero 0, looking like a duck egg). To be out on the first ball you face is a "Golden Duck". to be out without facing a ball, being run out. is a "Diamond Duck" and humiliating. You're out first ball without even playing one.

Great game, huge jomboy fan/supporter. As someone who can’t always catch the Premiere, my only gripe is that you end it so abruptly. It’s really easy to predict the last inning because you see the video time end soon. I understand why you do the post game vids on off days monetarily wise (another ad space + views). But you guys should add some padding at the end of games, I know it will affect the watch time, but I think it’s worth a brainstorming session or two.

Run outs don't count for individual stats. They're like team stats. Same with wides. So wides don't count as runs by the batter. They're team run. Extras as they are called in cricket.

real question; why don’t they just throw wides every single throw? usually it’s 1-2 runs so wouldn’t that be smarter than just giving up a 6 run hit ?

A wide ball is not considered a legal delivery. If a wide is bowled, the bowler must bowl an extra delivery.
@ReidTheRulesGuy8 ай бұрын
You have to throw 6 "good" pitches (in the zone or a batted ball). A wide is not a "good" pitch, thus they would have to throw forever and keep giving up runs
