Woof Jimmy cracking his jaw against the floor was spooky. I've seen some truly scary stuff happen from impacts like that on grass, let alone cement. Such a tough subject because guys throwing themselves around and laying out to win is so inherent to the competitive spark of the Warehouse but ultimately we're dealing with regular joes who maybe shouldn't be encouraged to put themselves in positions to get seriously hurt. When Matty went down from a body check in CL Slapball there was almost a very gnarly head impact as well. Regardless, I digress, love the bravery even if it is maybe ill-advised, love the spirit and love the Warehouse. Stay healthy everyone!
@atomknight83618 ай бұрын
Jimmy said multiple times during slapball he didn't want to make the game too crazy, so no one gets hurt, but Jimmy is a true competitor and it just comes out sometimes

8:35 they did the math wrong on Jimmy's economy. They had his econ as 20, but 68 runs in 3.4 overs equals an 18.55 (18.5454) economy. Economy means runs per over thrown. The math they did is 68 (runs) ÷ 3.4 (overs) = econ of 20. But 3.4 overs actually means 3 complete overs and 4/6 of another over, so the correct equation is 68 ÷ 3.666 = econ of 18.545 It's the same thing as 2.1 IP for a pitcher. You don't use the number 2.1 when calculating their ERA, you use 2.333 because the 0.1 means 1/3 of an inning. Not a big deal but I figured nerds like me would care
@deepowls8 ай бұрын
They made the same mistake in Game 3, where the table at 6 min 43 sec had Sanjay's economy in the first inning(s) as 13.64 instead of 12.86 because they divided 15 runs by 1.1 instead of 7/6. As a fellow nerd, I don't know if I exactly care, but I did find it worth writing a comment about it. I only noticed the error because I knew that .64 couldn't be the decimal as Sanjay only threw 7 balls. I didn't intend on checking their math before then.

Just a quick question about the wall behind the batter. There was an instance where the ball was hit forward in this game, but then was thrown at the batting square and missed and hit the back wall. The only score that was counted was a single run, but since the ball was batted and did hit the wall before a wicket, shouldn't it have been 4?

@46:00 Sanjay fields the ball, then overthrows past the wicket into the wall. Is that not a boundary in BIP rules? Seems to be a rule in Cricket if a fielder overthrows a ball into the boundary, it's considered one. First time I've noticed it, but I assume it's not since I'm sure it's happened with throws a few times.
