I hadn't realised that KBS had launched a range of Driver shafts and the next time I replace my Driver I will certainly give the shafts some attention. I have used their TGI shafts in my Irons for several years and love the feel and stability that they offer.

Thanks for the input Bandit. if you like the feel of their iron shafts it's likely you'll like the driver shafts too.

The only problem I have is OEM equipment and club Fitting is getting WAY out of hand PRICE-wise, and adding another $350 dollar shaft in an already $500-600 club head and bringing it to a $1000 driver is ridiculous !! I got a whole bag PXG 0211 fitting ( 14 clubs) this year for $1990.-00 with KBS graphite shafts . Great information, but I would like to see how well a new upgraded shaft would work for a player with say a 5-8-year-old driver head, that would be a real test IMO. I could see upgrading a shaft as OEM heads are all the same as MOI can't be made better, It has been all the same for the past 20 years, they just move weight around and make faces thinner and thicker in different areas, no real new technology, it's all been done before!

I would disagree with the reps claim that “KBS has a consistent feel” in all of their products. I used their steel iron shafts for a few years before switching to Modus Tour 120 which produced slightly lower launch for penetrating flight I desired in my Miura’s. I still play KBS wedge shaft in all wedges. Due to age and tendinitis I demoed their TGI 100 in my irons. Felt absolutely nothing like the KBS Tour steel shafts. Launch and spin both higher and very board-like feel. I then tried the TGI95. Launch was same, spin rate even higher and dispersion was worse. I would say feel was slightly better but still boardy. There was nothing, from flight profile, spin or feel that was like the KBS Tour 120. I would suggest KBS stick with steel offerings or hire some experienced composite materials engineers. There are composite iron shafts that feel and flight similar to the KBS Tour 120, only smoother, they’re just not sold by KBS. Still love the steel shafts, especially the wedge shaft 👍
