Nice that so many came to get rid of the invasive Himalayan Balsam, I googled it, reminds me of Jewelweed we have in USA that Hummingbirds like. A friend & I rescue songbirds ., few years ago we rescued a young Peregrine Falcon. I enjoy Warblers. A recent youtube video shows us in Newark NJ, the video is named ( Volunteers give migrating birds injured in N.J’s biggest city a second chance ) Also The Raptor Trust made a older video when we first started named ( Window Strikes in the Business District ) of us picking up injured Warblers. Liked your story about the Reed Warbler

I was aware that you have a thriving urban population of Peregrines over there - more than here I believe though now most of our major cities have at least one pair. Terrific stuff Si. Another interesting and varied piece with some amazing "good news" stories. Peregrines eh? Wow! And good to see a Reed Warbler setting up territory there, looking and sounding great. The Little Egret was exquisite! Especially the reflection and the feather ruffle!
