Well, I really am straight, married, and I’ve been watching you since 2016. I don’t know what it’s like to be gay, just a straight white male who’s had it pretty easy. I just love your content, I love your attitude, and your eye for camera work. I have a hateful dad and just taught myself to always be open and loving. Always love your uploads, I love telling people I watch a cool gay KZbinr.

Pediatric Emergency/trauma nurse here…. little kiddos ask me all the time why I have painted nails. I always smile and respond “because anyone can wear nail polish!” I always get a smirk or laugh from parents, but it’s moments like these that normalize queerness and acceptance ♥️

You really put into words the reason I paint my nails, as a gay guy living a super closed minded conservative town. You’re channel has always been an outlet and source of queer positivity for me. I started watching when I was in high school, I’m 27 now and your channel is still such a great source of encouragement and good vibes. Thanks for making such a sick space.

I can totally relate to the first segment of the video ♥️ I've always felt like being queer is what defines me only because of the bigotry and homophobia I used to see and hear where a homosexual person is only bounded to their sexuality while for straight people, their sexuality is not even taken into consideration when it came to their identity. I've grown so much throughout the years and got wiser to figure out who I am as a person and as queer, too. And who I am is far beyond my queerness and it does not define who I am nor my identity. However, I have learned to embrace my queerness because it molded and shaped me into the genuine and unapologetically authentic person I am today especially in the process of my growth through accepting and loving myself unconditionally because it is a part of me after all and I am very proud of it.

Glad you feel Proud ☺️ - I adore the new home tours. As an ambitious person myself I totally get the chasing the carrot feeling. You might consider listening to some Andrew Huberman podcasts (you've probably already heard of him but he's a neurobiologist). He has some incredible insights about taking advantage of our serotonin (enjoying the moment) system versus our Dopamine system (reward for achieving goals) - especially in winter - oi vey! I think stepping outside of our routine, at least doing something tiny different each day, and bigger things every so often, is one way to really hack our neurology for our betterment - happy Spring over yonder! Glad to see cherry blossoms are always breathtaking no matter where anyone is in the world 🌈

Hello good people, hope everyone is having a lovely day and if not I do hope your day is a day of understanding. The house showing stuff is really amazing Mark!! I used to look up different apartments and see how cool it would be to live there. Also, why does Indiana look amazing. I live in Cali but like I feel like it’s not for me even though it has pretty decent weather. It’s also very good to take a break once in a while but not all the time I’ve noticed. 😅 I do love this little space of the internet. These are the only videos I ever comment on. It feels so weird to think that I've been watching your videos since 2015... 7 years, jesus Seems like during everything that's hapenned throughout these years, your channel has been a constant that could always remind me of how much bigger the world is (I live on another continent, lol), and how "not-so-scary" the passage of time is. I've learned a lot from you since I found your channel exactly when I was discovering my sexual orientation, so thank you for doing so much just by making videos and maybe not even realizing just how big of an impact you can have by doing that. Thank you for everything and have a great day! (Every day is a great day, duh)

I don't know what's in the water out there, Mark, but your life just seems to be getting richer and deeper, and I think that's fucking fantastic. This makes me happy to hear. It feels similar to the relatively recent video you made where you expressed a growth in perspective around being more accepting of all sorts of emotions (not just the "great day" ones). And now this shift into a deeper embrace of your queerness as "not the most interesting thing about me but not the least also." Your growth makes me happy. Likely at least in part because these are definitely ways I've found myself moving over the years I've watched your channel as well.

Hi Mark. Thank you for your opening monologue. I've noticed most of the gay men in my sober social circle have painted nails now. Montreal has gone through an explosion of the orientation spectrum. Just "BOOM!" I am much older than you, in gay years, but I express myself in other ways. I did not understand the "gay men painting their nails," and I wrestled with it myself. I choose my attire very specifically, to send a specific message. Not necessarily paint my nails. We are still in protection mode so public outings with many people are still not happening in my sober circle just yet. So I am not socializing like we used to before the pandemic. Side Note: I am glad you have not sold out, that you take the high road. You are a classic queer man Mark and I admire you very much.

Keep up the great work, Mark! I have watched a bunch of your videos since discovering your channel and have come to the conclusion that you're a Midwestern guy who tried to have a relationship (with Midwestern values) in LA. As a Midwesterner myself who lived in LA for 20 years and had a very long term relationship, I think LA is so tough on so many fronts. After my long-term relationship ended, I ended up moving back to Chicago and it was the right thing to do. I have a longtime friend who is very wealthy and lives in LA. He bought his house for $1.6 million about 20 years ago. It's now estimated to be worth $8.9 million! LA and NYC are ridiculous. Great if you're super rich. Otherwise, forget it. And those of us who have parents who have stayed together and love each other and their children find it difficult to settle for anything less than what they have. Come visit Chicago and I'll show you around the city which is one of the top cities in the world (and I've lived overseas and in multiple States across the U.S.)!! (P.S. -- This is not a come-on or something. I just like your personality and think it'd be fun. I haven't had any out of town visitors to show around since 2019!) xxx ooo

Thanks for the reply @@BlueSky-ej7xn , and maybe I'm misinterpreting, but I don't believe I even implied that it was 'a gay thing' for guys. All I was trying to say was that I love nail painting on guys, and I personally think it's a cool thing as a form of self-expression. I just wish I was strong enough to be one of those guys that does it (and I'm a pretty strong person) despite the local world I currently inhabit. I deeply respect those (like @markemiller) who do. So sorry if I gave some sort of negative impression.

So do try a tea made with Makrut Lime leaves and Fresh Ginger slices. So good. Totally caffeine free, and delicious. I gave up Caffeine many years ago for the Atkins Diet, and I have to say that I had the absolute worst withdrawal I have ever had from anything when withdrawing from it. Gnarly and really tough. Reluctantly, I had to go back to it when I retired and moved to Mexico, as there were, at the time very few sustainable options for Caffeine Free Products when we moved here. Better now, but I am past that mainly due to my own Cold Brew Coffee . Great video. Thanks.

I had similar feelings about my work. I was burning myself out worrying at home and getting nothing from it. So I've left that job ten days ago. I'm STILL worrying about it. I'm hoping to get my own business as an outdoor rock climbing instructor off the ground (pun intended). That'll be a while me set of worries but all mine and all rewarding if I can overcome them. As for queer acceptance. I may have said in previous comments that I do LGBT school workshops. I used to introduce myself as gay with a small g; and that I was also an instructor, a scout leader, and a bunch of other things. I don't do that now. I think we all go through phrases of identity. As sexualities, genders, also jobs and friendships, politics, everything. You and I both came to our gay identities and now those are growing and evolving that little bit more. Whether they're labelled or not. We both know ourselves that bit better for the time being.

Queer / Not Queer. Its all just you. Its ok to just be you. I feel as though you are where I was through my late 20s and 30s. The struggle or challenge or journey (or whatever you want to call it) to come to terms with who you are, what defines you, your place in the world, what boundaries you need to set, and really truly loving every little bit of yourself is so palpable in your videos. I really love watching them, Mark, because you are brave enough to share that journey. Please know it gets.....easier. Love ya.
