I remember when I was around 14-15 and I started watching your videos, and how back then I looked for representation as a gay guy, now at 22 I love to see a fellow gay man create beautiful photography. I just started the BFA program for fine arts photography and one of the things that inspired me to get serious about photography was your videography and photography. Happy to have followed your journey so far and to have evolved at the same time as you.

Right with you on sleeping more, exercising, eating good, and all the other positive life choices, but my relationship with sobriety is still not where I want it. I’m making so much progress in different areas of my life, but it’s the one thing I use as a crutch and a familiar blanket for the hard times. These discussions can be hard to have and unfortunately usually involve a lot of shame. Thank you for providing such an amazing space for reflection and support Mark.

The best part from this is the clear growth that is very visible and aspirational, after breaking up with my ex I felt the need to question "What do truly you want?". As of now, just focusing on my objectives, reading more, working out and exploring London has made realize that I wasn't giving myself more time to expand and grow even more. Love your videos man and I'm excited to watch your journey unfold.

I started my journey of sobriety almost 10 months ago. I never thought of giving up alcohol completely when I first started. However, the mental clarity, better and more consistent workouts, improved sleep, and overall quality of life were something I didn't really expect at first. Almost a year into it, I have no plans to stop. Glad to see you're working on yourself. I've been watching your channel since the beginning, and it's been fantastic to watch you grow and develop as an individual

Took me many years to realize the benefits of being totally sober. Caffeine will be one that will be hard to give up again. Did it several years ago, and I thought I would die!! I did not, but it was about the roughest time I ever had with withdrawal. Awesome video Mark. Always look forward to seeing you.

After over 5 years of sobriety, I reassessed my relationship with alcohol alongside my therapist. I realised I blamed myself for other people's behaviour when I drank (spiked and assaulted) and used sobriety as a self-inflicted punishment. I don't really think I'll fully drink again, and my journey isn't common, but acknowledging that it's not got this fear or power over me anymore feels like growth. Again, this is my journey, and everyone's relationship with substances is different.

Congrats on your sobriety! Social and drinking shouldn’t matter. I am not allowed to drink due to medication. I’ve never been able to drink so I don’t know any difference. If your friends don’t accept you being sober no matter the reason they don’t deserve to be in your life. You seem to be in a good place. Hope your life is all you want it to be ✌️👍👏🌟

I'm not a huge drinker & during Covid I hardly drank at all, so my tolerance is SUPER low. I love the odd cocktail or three on a rare night out but I can no longer handle binges... I went out with a friend last weekend, got super wasted, shots, beers, spirits, I was thrown out of the bar by security.... oddly not because I was a mess, but because I had been spiked, and thus fell violently sick... Moral here is, hangovers after a binge are a KILLER and letting you inhibitions go so drastically puts you in dangerous positions of not knowing what you're drinking or taking in clubs. Its honestly reminded me of my limits & while I do enjoy a delicious cocktail, I've vowed never in my life to drink like that again & put myself in danger at the age of 27, like fuck that!

Yes, being able to order or make your own Manhattan, Old Fashioned, Sidecar or Martini and know how different ingredients change the quality of those and many other cocktails is the sign of a Gentleman. But being a Gentleman is so 20th Century. It took me more than a decade to develop sufficient understanding of what makes a good cocktail. By my mid 20s I, too, saw that a hangover was not worth the excess of the previous night. All in moderation, whether its a Manhattan and Sidecar or Chocolate Chip and Snicker Doodles.
