You have a lot of hair. Its just that you didn’t do that many braids. I’ve done this before, but I did 120 braids. It’s a lot fuller that way and I can actually wash my hair in the braids and wear it out and keep it in for 2 months. It doesn’t get matted.
@AdiraKalon4 жыл бұрын

It looks very cute 🥰. I also have fine hair and one thing that might help would be to do the style on wet hair: it allows you to take smaller sections, for the same results. Especially if you don’t braid to tight you can take half of those sections and end up with the same thickness of braids since your hair would swell wile drying.
@AdiraKalon3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t think about that. I figured wet hair would be harder since my hair is fine I get nervous about making them too small .. next thing you know I have locs 😅 I’ll have to try it damp next time

I’m in my second week of mini braids. I’m a fan so far. I use Cream of Nature edge control in the same way you used Murray’s. I’m 39 and have never used it so I’ll give it a try. Your braids look great. My braids are skinny too so I understand the struggle. I don’t mind putting them in a ponytail. I band the length of the ponytail to protect the style a little bit longer. If I leave it out they unravel. Also, I use the African threading method using nylon cording to stretch my hair without heat. It works wonderfully.
@AdiraKalon4 жыл бұрын
I’ve actually never tried the threading stretch method but I’ve been curious about it !
@ro26704 жыл бұрын
It took some trial and error but it really works well. I don’t know about the authentic African thread. I used something different. If you’re curious try it out. Even when I messed up the only thing I wasted was time.

Looks beautiful. I also have fine hair and I often do mini twists but I haven't done braids yet. One thing that gives me more volume when my hair is twisted is I'll plat them in sections at night then take them out when styling. It gives them a crinkle and more volume. Not sure if the effect would be the same with braids though because I haven't tried it yet. I really like how yours came out though, it looks pretty💕

@AdiraKalon2 жыл бұрын
Maybe wet them / use a cream moisturizer at the end and then finger coil yo create a little curl
@daisiesandpandas12182 жыл бұрын
I second what she said, and also Some people do beads at the end of their hair, the beads hide the rubber band. If you're older woman and you think it might look too juvenile for the normal plastic beads, I recommend those chic jumbo wooden ones, just make sure there aren't any jagged edges on the beads (or in the holes).
