Asami (vocals/lyricist) is all about positivity. She struggled too - she studied ballet for 16 years, and went to the US for a year and studied modern and hip hop dance. Then learned that @ 4'10" she was considered too short to be a dancer. So, she became a R&B lounge singer until she auditioned for Lovebites and discovered she had a fantastic Metal Voice. I think it taught her to never give up and keep fighting until you realize your dreams, even if you have to change them along the way. 🤘🐺🤘

I’ve flown 7000 miles to be at their first show in 2 years, in Tokyo on Sunday. I arrived only hours ago. You can’t believe how respectfully thousands of male fans treat these ladies. Given that they are the best artists ever to perform in a male dominated musical genre, there is not a hint of misogyny. They are respected for what they are. Talented musicians who also happen to be beautiful. In that order.

Lovebites doesn't often take their collective foot off the throttle, but when they do, they create a magic. I kinda wish they did the whole song in ballad mode (it's a nice change of pace), but this is still great. I love this band! So far each of their albums (besides their debut EP) has started with sequential letters of the alphabet....when they get to Z, I hope they don't stop and just start the alphabet over again and keep on putting out stellar albums. I was also impressed by their understanding and interpretation of their costumes. The girls will perform a two-hour live concert while wearing high heels. LOVEBITES' lyrics can encourage, uplift, make people look at themselves anew, and make them feel positive. People say they should drop the white dresses, but I disagree. Heavy Metal in white is a strong message. It's the Metal of the defenders and protectors, fathers and mothers, the shields of the world. The feminine beauty of the ladies of Lovebites is immediately apparent to anybody who first sees them. They not only embrace their femininity... they weaponise it; turn it into an elemental force of nature. This is a quite conscious decision on behalf of the band members who have repeatedly stated their intention is to show that they can rock as hard as any man and still be elegant, beautiful women. The real driving force of this band, however, is not so much their obvious beauty but their formidable collective intellect married to their hard working determination. Many people call them "talented" but this is more than just talent. The world is full of talented people who never rise above the level of mediocrity. To produce the quantity and quality of these ladies' musical output (over 60 extraordinary songs) requires more than just some innate talent; it needs genius. My favourite adage is that talent does what it can but genius does what it must. The new album is remarkable and the fact that they came up with it while not only looking for a new bass player but also, in the case of the main songwriter and the main lyricist, whilst raising small children is quite frankly mind boggling. The sheer brilliance, hard work and steely determination is what raises this band to the level of a musical phenomenon.

Nice reaction. Each time I watch their videos or listen to their albums make my days a whole lot better. I was a bit disappointed by most of my favorite classic metal groups new material until I found this amazing group. These ladies create great music and song lyrics. Also they look and amazing performing live on stage. Any song you react to is a good choice. They don't have any songs I don't like. Peace and Lovebites!

Their previous live concert release, "Daughters of the Dawn," has a slightly different arrangement of this song. There's a bit more guitar in the intro along with the piano and Miyako, the brunette guitarist and pianist, does some backing vocals toward the end. I much prefer this arrangement as it sounds cleaner to my ears. Great song, great performance, it's Asami at the height of her powers and that means greatness.

Don't apologise for saying the truth, we are different but one would be nothing with out the other,. That aside I think this is a fantastic song that really shows just how good Asami's vocals are, this was the second to last song of the concert and was followed up by We the united which I'd highly recommend for the ultimate lift. Probably the best end to a concert I've seen ever.

If you want positivity, you found the right band. I'm a vet with PTSD and they have saved my life on more than one occasion. They are truly a rare gem in today's music world. The fact that they can play such awesome, positive music while dressed as princesses just makes it all the better; it proves you don't have to look like a troll living under a bridge to rock out. The sad thing is, there are those that don't agree with that. They think that a band must wear leather, denim, spandex, etc to make metal. How you dress is not a measure of your talent and thinking it does just shows how superficial and stupid some people are.

I love them. I love them so much! My favorite band in the world. Right there with Nightwish, who I love also, each in their own way. I got to see Nightwish live. I have to find a way to see Lovebites live, within the next year or two. Might have to be a trip to Japan. They're among the most talented musicians I've ever seen all collected on one stage, again, similar to Nightwish. You'll find that their lyrics are always positive. They wanted to go against what is normally thought of with metal, while still going hard. This is such a beautiful song, bot the beginning and the lyrics and intensity at the end. If you explore them more, it's a pretty big rabbit hole, as Nightwish is. They have a lot of different types of songs. They're always coming at you pretty hard, musically, but there's a good deal of variety. There's a couple other songs similar in some ways to this one that I'd recommend: Frozen Serenade and Swan Song (with the Chopin intro). Both masterpieces, like this one. If you want to go hard, they've got that. Break the Wall, live from Zepp, Set the World on Fire and Thunder Vengeance, live from Zepp, are favorites there. All of the "E" songs are amazing, so like this one, there is Empty Daydream (a favorite of mine - vocal harmonies!) and Epilogue. There's more I leave out: Hammer of Wrath, We the United, Raise Some Hell. So many others. They have a couple of new songs from their latest albums. A new video there, but no live performances yet.

Nice to see that someone other than myself gets emtionally affected, me myself can not see Our ladies without tears start rolling, somehow they strikes a hearthstring deep down in my body, especially Miyako for some reason. I am 63 y old Swedish guy and do not usually cry to music, ( only occasionally)..🙃 Miyako ( darkhaired gitarplayer and Fami bassplayer are a little bit longer, 5"2' / 5"3' somewhere, as far as I know... Guess you enjoyed that Debbie! All of them are complete virtuoso's and prodigies. Many hours of study and practice to reach this level. Midori and Miyako seem to be joined by some telepathy as their duo's and fret work are always on point and in sync. It is almost embarrassimg - some old Rocker not long ago stated "Rock is dead". While all these Japanese rock and metal bands breathe the classic vibe we old metal heads were searching for years and combine that with fresh, unique elements. I would prefer the rhetoric regarding empowerment etc be left somewhere else. What you speak of has no place in Eastern countries. For me all I see is accomplished musicians, gender has never been an issue with me in any genre with the likes of Khatia Buniatshivili ( Georgian), Julia Lezhneva (russian), My Tam ( Vietnamese) , Lala Hsu ( Taiwanese) , Yuko Suzuhana ( Japanese) , Sbruk ( Armenian), Geta Burlacu ( Moldovan) and the list goes on, all of which I listen to and not to forget the first all female metal band Girl school ( UK). I would go as far to say such topics never crossed their mind. However, You are entitled to your thoughts and I respect that 😊.
