Thanks for the reaction! LOVEBITES are the GODDESSES of heavy , power , thrash metal ! In 2018 , LOVEBITES won the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for "Best New Band" (London,UK). The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians,such as : Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Slayer, Saxon, Nightwish, Rammstein, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy (and this is not a complete list). LOVEBITES is a Japanese female power metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass,backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). The band has successfully performed at various major international rock-festivals many times .In the spring of 2018, LOVEBITES performed on the Japanese leg of the Warped Tour. In August 2018, they performed at Wacken Open Air (Germany), becoming the first Japanese female rock band to perform at the festival. Also in August 2018 they performed on the main stage of Bloodstock Open Air (UK). In 2019, LOVEBITES performed at the Download Festival in both Donington (UK) and Madrid (Spain). Their performance in Donington was named by the festival organizers and Metal Hammer magazine as one of the highlights of the festival! In the same year they performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and the Summer Sonic Festival (Japan). Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic that began in 2020 prevents LOVEBITES from performing at festivals and forced a drastic reduction of concerts. LOVEBITES is a phenomenal band, all the ladies are talented musicians! For 5 years they have recorded about 50 songs and all the songs are very good! 🐺Miho - bass, backing vocals (in August 2021 she left the band). 🐺Haruna - drums. 🐺Midori - guitars, backing vocals. 🐺Miyako (Mi-Ya)- guitars, piano, keyboards, backing vocals. 🐺Asami - lead vocals, piano. 🐺Miho started playing bass in high school. Great bass player! The fact that such a wonderful band appeared is, first of all, the merit of Miho. She came up with the idea of ​​starting a band and what kind of music the band would play, a combination of power metal and "old school" heavy metal. Miho was able to find and unite all these talented ladies in LOVEBITES. 🐺Haruna has played drums since she was thirteen years old, and began writing songs on a keyboard at fourteen. Haruna is the smallest (4 '9 ") , but appearances are deceiving. When Haruna sits down at the drums, this is the "little BIG Engine." She is one of the best drummers in Japan. 🐺Midori (blond hair) has been playing the piano since she was two years old and the electric organ since she was eight. She has been playing the guitar since the age of 18. Super guitarist! They call her "The Golden Touch" and she is a real musical genius. Miyako is the main composer of the band, she wrote over 50% of the music. * In terms of teamwork , synchronization and harmonization of guitars , Midori and Miyako today are perhaps the best pair of guitarists in the world playing metal. One music critic said that two guitarists of this level (Midori and Miyako) in the same band is a crime!😊 🐺Asami started with R&B and soul music . She studied classical ballet for about 16 years (this is noticeable in her movements on stage, especially the movements of her hands). Started ballet lessons at the age of two. After leaving school, Asami lived for some time in the US, where she came to study jazz and hip hop dance. Plays the piano. Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the band's songs. All songs LOVEBITES are written in English. Unlike other metal bands, LOVEBITES are always on stage in white dresses . White dresses are their style. The Wolf is the mascot of LOVEBITES and is featured on all band's albums except the first EP "The Lovebites". The band's fans call themselves the 🐺Wolfpack🐺

It's not hard to confuse Haruna and Junna: both "pocket nuclear reactors" with fantastic chops. Japan produces great drummers all around, and it's interesting to note how many are women. Tamu Murata from Nemophila, Nagisa (TRiDENT, Junna's old band), Tohko (Saiseiga), Marina Bozzio (Aldious, and yes she's Terry Bozzio's stepdaughter), Kanako (Hagane), Akane Hirose (Band-Maid), Kanade Sato, and in the conversation for best drummer on the planet, fusion/jazz virtuoso Senri Kawaguchi.

This band began in 2017 and has already broken out into Europe and the UK. They have played at Bloodstock, Wacken, Graspop, and Download festivals. In 2018 they won the Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band.

Glad to see to see you discovering Lovebites! You've probably not come across them as they have been on extended hiatus since August 2021 but just announced their comeback with a new bassist last Friday, so expect a lot of hype surrounding them soon! As for breaking out of Japan, they already did.. including appearances at Bloodstock and Wacken Open Air in 2018, Download and a few UK appearances with Dragonforce in 2019. If not for the pandemic amongst other things, they would surely have been dominating the metal scene by now as at that time they were garnering a fair amount of attention and international recognition. Check out their live performances to get a real feel of what they are about.. and expect big things in the near future 🤟

By the way, that is not Junna, she is Haruna another members Asami (vocal), Midori (guitar, ponytail), Miho (bass) and Miyako (flying V guitar). Miho (bass) has left the band August 17, 2021 but replaces with new bassist Fami. Lovebites now coming back to continue their journey with new bassist and Asami and Miyako is now metal mom.

Lovebites has 3 full Albums and 4 EP's also 4 Lives since 2017 and have won the prestigious Metal Hammer Golden God award in London in 2018 for best new band they also recently put out the beginning:Best of Lovebites 2017-2021 last year their original Bassist Miho left band but this week they introduced their new bassist in a video of one of their older songs.

Beautiful reaction, thank you so much! 😊 Haruna's (drummer) skills are incredible. She has a reasonable drumset, and she uses all pieces, often enough at high speed. And she plays double bass drum, which is additionally demanding. You will fail soon, if you are not trained for years. After a few minutes, your feet will simply fall off. But she gives the reliable pace for the band, hardly ever missing a note or slowing down. And while doing so, she smiles as often as possible. 😄She is a one-off. I call her "Mrs. Metronome", full of respect. To me, she is a prodigy. 🐺

It's not Junna, though both Junna and Haruna are phenomenal drummers with similar energy. Junna was previously in a band called Trident, but she is no longer with them. Lovebites just added a new member a few days ago, who is also a very famous KZbin sensation like Junna - bassist Fami! The bassist in this video Miho left the band in August of last year. Lovebites have three full albums, three EPs, three full concert DVDs (four if you count the limited release live-stream DVD), and a best-of compilation to commemorate the Miho era.

That is Haruna, if you ask me they look quite different, and even if they looked alike I think their playstyle is quite different, Haruna loves symbals way more than Junna in my opinion. Either way, you should check this band live, Holy War is a good start.

You should really see the diversity of this band this song has Miyako on Piano and Guitar it's done live Midori gets a solo at the end when Miyako gets back on piano they play together till Midori stops then the band stops leaving Miyako on a Piano Outro of Dvorak. They really shine in their live performances. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they’re redefining metal. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Unfortunately Miho (bass) left the band last year, but a few days ago the band announced the new bass player, Fami; so they’re ready to set the world on fire. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. Male guitarists from all over the world are half-convinced after watching the video performance. Then they watch a live performance and are shocked. Midori and Miyako are dueling high-speed harmonic shredders. Their guts and determination during twin shreds are based on their trust in each other. Of course, behind this is the long hours of stoic practice by all the members. With the addition of new bassist Fami, the trio's harmonic shredding could become a reality. Fami was a five-string bassist who could dance, sing, and play with 650,000 KZbin subscribers. Fami is 20 years old with a cute smile. She can also play rhythm guitar. On vocals, everyone was amazed by Asami's F5 vocal range, and on drums, everyone fell in love with Haruna, amazed by her precise drumming of over 160 beats per minute and over 5 minutes. On bass, they were amazed by Miho's long and fast fingerpicking, and were amazed by Band's tight live performance. You will be amazed by new bassist Fami's slapping and fast fingerpicking. Lovebites are by FAR at their best live - the energy is INSANE . HARUNA - the drummer 😂- is a 4'10" bundle of energy and Miyako and Midori are probably the best guitar duo in the world at present . Asami the vocalist has an R&B background and the bassist Miho has just been replaced with a new bassist - Fami who is superb . I'd recommend " SWAN SONG " with the Chopin intro LIVE as a really good song to react to - enjoy PS I've sent your apologies to Junna 😉

I blame japanese music Labels for being completely incompetent in managing bands and not doing a better job breaking these bands out of japan, Lovebites' label has managed to do a slightly better job than most, but it is still too little if you ask me. Honestly it feels like us the fans are doing all the work trying to spread the word. Theres also a lot the ladies themselves could do for more popularity, by having more online presence, especially on youtube, like having channels like Junna or Fami, or at least posting some content on Lovebites' channel. But that is entirely on them to decide and should never be forced to do, but I secretly hope Fami kinda influences them to do it. Either way Japanese music labels need to do better and realize its not the 90s anymore.

It is true that Japanese music labels are basically reluctant to let musicians expand overseas. The reason for this is that Japan has the second largest music market in the world after the United States, and it can be fully covered by domestic demand alone. And the existence of the language barrier has a lot to do with it. Japanese is a special language whose roots are still unclear, and the ability of Japanese people to pronounce and hear other languages is significantly reduced. There was a time when the music industry was ambitious to expand overseas, but it was always blocked by the language barrier. LOVEBITES is a band that Miho created to realize her dream of "standing on the WACKEN OPEN AIR stage". From the very beginning, she has chosen members on the premise that she will be active overseas. The music label also cooperated in making Miho's dream come true.

"I'm good at faces"... No, you're not. That is not Junna and her resemblance is not even remote XD It's like comparing an apple and a pear. Both are fruits that come from trees, and that's it. They're both drummers and they're both Japanese, and that's it. Haruna is much more contained than Junna because she has to play concerts that usually last 2 hours, Junna in her videos exudes madness and vitality because they are just that, individual videos. In their facial appearance, they are quite different. So you're really lousy with faces.

He made his breakthrough as an invited non-Chinese participant in the song contest Singer 2017 (it's for established artists, so not like the Voice).
