I recently read an interview with Asami. She was asked how Fami was doing with the band. Now I can't recall her exact words. But was basically this. Asami said we are amazed how fast she's grown with us. She mastered all our songs in a very short time. She's constantly the first to rehearsal, last to leave. After sound check for the shows she's done, she's with the sound engineer learning what she can there. Always wanting Miyako to teach her how to be a better composer, pianist and guitarist. Always talking to me wanting to learn to be a better singer. Working with Haruna to mesh with her better. I hope she don't outgrow us to soon, I think she will eventually. Her work ethic is through the roof. ( My Words..LOL ) Her energy, she keeps going and keeps us grounded, and grateful and her smile keeps everyone happy. Now that's high praise. Fami is one of those rare individuals that has that little extra something. It can't be taught, can't be learned. They have it or they don't. For her 21st Birthday, they bought her a beautiful new all white bass. The pick guard was a black and gold or black and silver marble pattern. { Cant remember which. } with gold hardware.

I find the Asami’s comment about hoping Fami not outgrowing too soon interesting. The moment I discovered the Fami’s own YT channel after she was announced the LB new bassist, I was blown away by her virtuosic command of her instrument and the diversity of her musical interest from the large volume of work she displayed on there. I was afraid LB might hold her talent back. After all, she is 10 years younger than the next band mate. She has to have a deep appreciation of heavy metal in order just to fit at the expense of suppressing her other musical interest. It will be interesting to see her contribution to the next LB album. From the look of the great interest in learning and mixing with the band and tech support, we should expect some new direction that highlight Fami’s playing and contribution to the songwriting. Can’t wait.

I find it easiest to simply call it Lovebites Metal. To me, it's a fusion of not just old and new, but between sub-genres as well, so that they don't neatly fit into any one category, but have created their own. They have this remarkable synergy that infuses everything from the creation of a song right through to the playing of it, that is simply marvelous to behold.

Miyako & Midori are so completely unselfish, that it's just one of the many reasons that makes Lovebites such a spectacular band. In this song, only Miyako got a pure solo, and Midori comes down for the harmonized part. Each of them are equal to or better than a majority of the lead guitarists out there today, yet neither appears to ever create tension wanting the spotlight more than the other. Asami to me will always be the greatest non-metal metal lead singer ever. Her flow contrasts and compliments the music behind her to perfection. Haruna & Fami are a driving force together, and as individuals. The modernization of the blend of power/speed/thrash/heavy metal, with inspiration coming from the late 70's to the early 90's, of course will draw in the crowd from the 80's. What really pushes them over the top is the level of talent across the board in this band. All are elite level, and some could argue virtuoso level. Fami was a treasure to find as a replacement for the original bassist. It was a perfect choice, and to me is so noticeable with the sisterhood they portray. I will say all five ladies are beautiful, but honestly it's something that simply doesn't matter, and is only a bonus at best. When I watch them, I see fingers plucking stings, a microphone in hand, blinding drumsticks, and five smiles. I very much enjoy your analysis, as I don't consider you simply a reactor.

Everything I have ever spoken about in relation to LOVEBITES over three years of comments on reaction channels has been encapsulated by you in this reaction. You are, by some distance, the best commentator on this band because, like the fan base, you know your subject. I agree with and echo absolutely everything you said. I was fortunate to have more or less the same view as the camera when Asami sang her A Capella intro, being ticket number 24 at the show…where the audience is admitted in number order. There has never been a group playing guitar oriented music that has the remarkable combination of talent, personality, chemistry, professionalism, enthusiasm, joyfulness and positivity as LOVEBITES. They are the best of the best, with no historical equal. Honestly. Best thing to ever happen to me and to the music industry. Great to hear you waxing lyrical about the ladies as only you can.

Hi from France: Thank you for this excellent and subtle analysis. And through all this, whatever the references and influences (I said it elsewhere, it's not their fault if these 5 musicians were not born earlier), LOVEBITES sounds like LOVEBITES, or even very exactly like LOVEBITES ! (Amazing, right?😀) In short, today, the LOVEBITES sound becomes a reference, an essential reference and it is perhaps one of the best things that has happened to the world of modern rock in recent years, all trends combined. It's quite simple: it's just a scandal that there is so much talent in one and the same band!!! 😉 And what a band!!! (Thank you Google trad, hoping I haven't been too betrayed in my ideas...) I am an old Spanish wolf, and honestly, I am in awe of these girls, I still remember that distant 1978, when I was waiting in front of the record store for the latest Rainbow or AC/DC album and now, after a thousand years later and with the transformation of heavy metal into something dark, pessimistic, sometimes unpleasant, I find myself with these wonderful women, incredible and beautiful artists, full of sympathy and positive energy, who transmit joy of life and hope, who have filled my heart with joy. I cant stop watching and enjoying them; I have forgotten the old bands with their old musicians who repeat their old songs over and over again; I just want to hear, see and feel these masters of heavy metal music. And special mention to the most beautiful and talented singer in the world, my beloved Asami, the goddess before whose feet I bow.

Thanks for reacting to my All Time Favourite Band. Your reaction and review goes beyond than most of the reactors do, IMO your the best and most sensible reactor in You Tube. I've been following rock & metal music for 50+ years now. I've collected vinyl records, dvd's & cd's almost 3,000 of them in those years from Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Queen, Iron Maiden , Metallica, Megadeath, Judas Priest , Guns & Roses, even Nightwish, Sabaton and other legends of rock worldwide. But IMHO Lovebites which I discovered 4 years ago is the GOAT because they have no bad songs either excellent songs or masterpieces. As I've said no other bands past or present have that kind of achievement. Name any bands and I can tell you the fillers or bad songs in their discography even with their greatest hits albumn collection. Plus their Live concerts are EPIC, FLAWLESS & TOTAL PERFECTION & These talented ladies are so humble & down to earth that's the reason why the Wolfpack loves them. And I stand firm with these comments, No further discussion allowed, PERIOD. Keep up the good work , Eric . Melbourne Wolfpack Over & Out.

Lovebites is also my all time favorite band. I agree with almost all of what you said. However, Lovebites' live performances are not flawless. I don't think any band is flawless live. It's not a bad thing. Practically all of the live videos you see on KZbin (especially the ones the reactors react to) were professionally mixed and pulled from the DVDs which had been cleaned up and polished before they were released to the public. They cover up some of the minor mistakes that were made. If you watched Lovebites' most recent livestream you will pick up on a few small errors since that was the raw audio and was unpolished. Also, the footage from people's cell phones that recorded their European and British concerts from 2017-2019 also show a few mistakes because these were not cleaned up either. I love this band more than anybody but we need to be honest and not exaggerate things that aren't true when we speak of their greatness.

Outstanding!! It is always great pleasure to listen to your review. Very inspiring and Educational review. Even, to a non-native English speaker like me, your talk is so comfortable. My suggestion for your next reaction to Lovebites is their old tune Epilogue. It shows a totally different aspect of Lovebites. It's an all slow soulful ballad with phenomenal wailing solos of the guitar duo. You'll know Midori is not just a supersonic shredder but also a great bluesy guitarist as well. And by the way, I find the poetic and sensitive way in which you explain things wonderful. I feel very identified with that way you have of seeing life.

Hello、This is from japan.Thank you for your great reaction and review. This song remains rich from beginning to the end. I think 、it was allowed for a Asami’s wide range of vocal sounds.

I'm not a fan of the acapella part, but Asami is brilliant on the rest of this song. One of her finest pieces of work with the band.

@@mmcpa Female singers i like Lita Ford with her raspiness and Britney Slayes . Among male singers its hard but i always loved Bruce Dickinson

@@rogerbehrendtz9750 In the female metal/rock vocal realm (and one outside of it), I have had several favorites, and many others that I have enjoyed over the decades. These I consider favorites - Asami, Karyn Crisis, Cristina Scabbia, Taylor Momsen, Maria Brink. The one nonmetal favorite is Courtney Hadwin, a 19-year old independent just embarking on her journey, and a previous AGT Golden Buzzer contestant when she was 13 (my favorite AGT performance ever, and I don't watch the show, just KZbin clips). Geoff tate of Queensryche and Kip Winger of Winger are two of my favorite male vocalists.
