There is no contest between the two Goddesses. They are best of friends and don't do battle. They have polite conversations in the same language with different accents. I love them both. If you really want to see them in a great conversation, react to my favorite song from them, 'Scream For Me' live. Fourteen guitar solos. Four through the main part of the song, and ten in conversation mode at the end. Astonishing.

Lovebites LIVE have no peer. One thing to note is that this amazing band doesn't play just power metal, their music is best described as a seamless amd innovative blend of speed-power/thrash/prog/neoclassical metal/heavy rock/power ballads which makes their sound unique.

@@alphariusomegon5159 I don't disagree. I didn't claim that they're the best band in the world (not yet anyway), which will be pretty subjective. Having said that and from the perspective of technical ability and musicality, I believe they're pretty much on top on their own today when it comes to LIVE performances - just a personal opinion.

A pop song where only 4 chords on the guitar are played for the entire track can reach the top 20 on the Billboard charts is a little befuddling to me as well. I suspect it has to do with a generation consumed with 14-second videos and jingles as their major source of entertainment, and being an "influencer" is a lot more important than picking up a musical instrument. As such, commerce gravitates towards the masses or the herd.

Midori is known as the crazy shredder, with good reason. Miyako is more melodic. She is a masterful piano player, and it shows in the way she plays guitar. It's her nature. Personally, I like Miyako's style. 😏♥️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘

Dragonforce plays fast but Lovebites is fast and melodic. I don't think Dragonforce can write a great ballad like Lovebites

Thank you for your response to LOVEBITES. Miyako and Midori call each other "partners(相方: aikata)." Miyako said in an interview that they compose different solos for each other, except for synchronized playing, because it is not good to play similar solos. Strictly speaking, Miyako replied that when the group was first formed, they played in sync on the same scale, but they researched how far apart each scale should be. Without Haruna and Fami's precise rhythms, M&M's no-look synchronization would not be possible. I think each part complements the other without interfering with each other. Of course, without Asami's marvelous vocal chords, LOVEBITES could not be expressed. Each part shines.

As I watch the live version, I can see the MV in my head as they play. I was never much into recorded live music, but Lovebites is so good live, I think they are the only ones I watch/listen live. I now refer to them as the 8th Wonder of the World.

Lovebites live recordings are honestly the best I have ever heard. I can't say they're the best band live (although I know they are) until I actually see them live next September in Atlanta. With that said, there are several songs I feel are better in studio than live, and those songs are: Judgement Day Winds of Transylvania Stand & Deliver

Yep, I agree with Stand and Deliver, at least with the 3 LIVE performances I've heard so far. The instrumentation is pretty much flawless, but they need to work on the mix for the backing/gang vocals parts. I'm sure they'll eventually get it right.

Love to see Midori and Miyako have one of their "battles." & more time spent on each in the live version. Midori plays slightly faster more often than Miyako does and is more of the classic shredder of the 2 . Miyako tends to be more melodic/soulful. Midori on tte whammy bar anf Miyako tapping and wah pedal. Both can bend incredibly precisely & arre creative as F. You ask100 fans and they woould likely be even. Miyako is a musical geniu. She's my fav of the 2 by a hair. Her stoic narure while playing something diifficult (Ike shes making a cup of coffee) can be msmerizing. No 2 guitarists compliment each other better IMO

I don't see it as a guitar duel or battle. For me it is a duet with both being very talented and dedicated but with differing styles that compliment each other perfectly.

M&M are very different in their styles and strengths. All I know is each of them is an elite guitarist, and having them both in one band is insanely unfair to the other bands. But Midori ia a more pure shredder, slightly faster. Miyako likes to use more effects, lots of wah (a la Kirk Hammett), and has a lot of blues influences.

It is futile to attempt to separate M&M. As someone said, they are two people playing with one brain. As self appointed World Number One fan of lead vocalist and front woman without equal Asami (decided unanimously by myself) I champion her talent at every opportunity. How such a powerful voice can emanate from such a petite frame, not for one or two numbers but for an entire concert defies belief. And as a front for the band she is in a class of her own. I’ve compared her with the late and much missed Freddie Mercury, such is her ability to control and interact with an audience. I’ve seen it firsthand on four occasions this year and even with so much talent beside and behind her, it is impossible to take your eyes off her. When she’s not commanding the crowd with her slender left arm she roams the front of the stage picking out individuals in the crowd, acknowledging them, waving…making them feel special. And she doesn’t do that every so often, she does it at every opportunity. Best band in music history.

Best metal band in the world. The level of talent is unmatched. Everything was amazing here, but Asami's vocals - wow! Midori vs Miyako, I prefer to keep them as a team and not really answer that. Midori tends to do more of the speed shredding duty and Miyako more finger tapping and melodic solos. Could just come down to the style that they like to play, given Miyako's more classical background. I understand from comments elsewhere that Miyako has said that she can play just as fast, but doesn't have to. She does write a lot of their material. As a team I think they are without parallel.

Btw, that's Miyako's signature Dean guitar. Miyako has fallen in love with flying V guitars recently. On her YT channel she documents her trying out a new flying V and agonizing over getting it. Midori has had a signature guitar for a few years now. Midori is more technical in her playing. Miyako comes from piano, so her solos are a bit more melodic. For Melt Banana don't try and do a live vid, none of them have great audio because they are usually recorded on a phone from the audience. You're better off just reacting to a MV. The problem with everyone is they all prefer to listen with their eyes, you can't really love what you are hearing if you only want to watch them live. I guess I am the only one who prefers to listen to all of their audio albums. I listen with my ears and heart I don't need to watch them to appreciate their talent.
