Band maid is a rock band not a metal band. I'm a metalhead for 35 years, my first metal band was Anthrax and for the last almost 5 years Lovebites is my favourite band.

I like many JMetal/Rock bands, but Lovebites is my favourite. These ladies are so solid. But if you really like good music, you don’t care where it come from. 🐺🤘🏻

The Japanese rock/metal scene is huge and there are so many great bands, Japan is #1 now! Lovebites, Band-Maid, Scandal, Babymetal, Gacharic Spin, LiSA, Unlucky Morpheus, Maximum the Hormone, Dir En Grey, BiSH, Dollsboxx, Fate Gear, Destrose, One OK Rock, Bridear, SiM...and the list goes on and on and on....Happy hunting! :)

I also like the band Band Maid which makes very good music but my musical field is completely in agreement with Lovebites. For me they are a step above. What Lovebites lacks a little bit is a Band Maid touch in the compositions, a little bit of a crazy touch that highlights the drum solos and the bass solos more.

There are a lot of crossover fans between Lovebites and Band Maid. This video clip is a footage of Lovebites from the beginning to the departure of Miho. This is a send-off of Miho and a farewell to Miho era of Lovebites. The golden apple symbolizes Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for the best metal band they won in 2018. The snow storm symbolizes Miho's departure, and the wolf running straight forward through falling cherry blossom shower means the end of winter (their grief from Miho loss) and the new beginning. Cherry blossom means spring and new start in Japan. If you like shredding one, I recommend Painkiller Judas Priest cover.
