Lovebites - Swan Song, first listen and reaction, with lyrical analysis

To understand the meaning of the lyrics of the swan song, we need the historical background of "Chopin's Revolutionary Etude". During his journey, Chopin learns that Poland's "November Revolution", which resisted the rule of the Russian Empire, failed. Originally from Poland, he lost a place to return home. After that, Chopin released his " Etude Op. 10-12". SWAN SONG is a song dedicated to the warriors who fought to regain their hometown. Miyako (guitar & piano) who composed the song studied classical piano from the age of 3 and graduated from music college. Asami, who has been studying classical ballet since she was two years old, wrote her lyrics by incorporating the image of "Swan Lake" into this song. And she thought about the arrangement with all the members, and this masterpiece was born. Their playing technique and musical sensibility are extraordinary.

I love when some reactors really paid attention to the lyrics, because most of the Lovebites song has the power of support and uplifting lyrics.. It's work for some people like me as a suicide survivor.. This world is darker than we think, but if we look up we can always see a little light called music.. Epilogue is the softest Lovebites song. Empty Daydream also speeds up quite quickly actually.

from ballad to banger in one song - they have a habit of doing this. after the nice piano solo by miyako you expect a slower song. then haruna pummels her kit into submission and never stops.

In the background you can hear another Chopin etude (always played by Miyako) called: Ocean, the surname is the movement up and down like the wave of the sea and then she will play at the end!

Lovebites have a dozen songs that can be considered masterpieces. In my opinion this is more than that, it is a perfect performance. There is no other rock or metal band in the world that would dare even trying to do something like this.

Epilogue is a rock ballad and their one song that is relatively soft all the way through (during which Miyako switches off between the piano and guitar several times, including a couple of great soulful bluesy guitar solos). Edge of World starts as a soft piano ballad, moves on to a rock ballad, and the really picks up during the last half of the song. It's also one of their deeper songs when it comes to the lyrics. Empty Daydream is more of a mid-tempo song.

The introduction Revolutionary Etude explains the theme of the song. The death of heroes, sacrifice and dedication, honor and victory is it. The heroes can be Polish rebels, or soldiers sacrificed for the fatherland, or policemen and firemen died in duty.

An actual ballad such as "Edge of the World" would be better for lyrical analysis. It reflects her roots as a jazz singer. It also features a little piano but not so prominently as Swan Song.
