After "Shadowmaker" blew the doors off, "When Destinies Align" blew what was left of our minds. It's one of those things that even some fans often doubted they could play live. All they've done is nail it, every time.

🤘🖐 for some reason this is the song i keep returning to. My main interest in music is thrash ( what they have-> Break the wall,M.D.O etc) but this song and Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce always get through a day when i feel bad. When i'm in pain i can play both songs on repeat for 8 hours straight, but they will get me through a working day.

Hi Doc. Why is it YT came up with the best platform ever & then run it so badly? None of these awesome bands ever get played on US & UK radio or hardly reported in our Rock/Metal mags. For that at least i have to give YT some credit for giving creators the chance to provide us with amazing music :)

@@GaryHolloway-810 hi gary - i never would have found any of this stuff if not for youtube. it is kind of funny though - my daughter hooked me up with youtube probably about 2012 or 2013 and for the first 4 years i just listened to the music i grew up with. in other words the same tired old music. then came the BAND MAID suggestion out of the blue in 2016 and it was a new game

LOVEBITES - When Destinies Align lyrics: It is not just some coincidence It is nothing like reality It is something very precious that not everyone can get It is like a dream, a turn of fate It is what the each of us can bring It’s a chemical reaction, only possible by these pieces Why must someone get in our way?We won’t let them We can go cause we believe Why must someone put out the light deep inside our hearts Can you see?We can create a miracle Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on It is failure that has brought us here It is made of our blood and tears It is something very strong that keeps us moving on and on It is love, ambition, destiny It is why we’ve been through everything It is what becomes the reason, shining bright into tomorrow Why must someone get in our way?We won’t let them We can go cause we believe Why must someone put out the light deep inside our hearts Can you see?We can create a miracle Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)

I've been suggesting that to some reactors, but I'd say break it up into a few reactions or streams. "Heavy Metal Never Dies" and "Five of a Kind" are glorious experiences to watch, but honestly, they are emotionally and physically exhausting--and that's just watching! You have to wonder how the band can go that hard for two hours. It's baffling.

@@hiawatha.g Especially since they only take 1 or 2 minute breaks here and there. Now that I have thought on it more it blows me away they put the jackets on for the encore of Heavy Metal Never Dies when they should have already been pretty over heated from the show up until that point.

Nice Reaction Anastasia! When they say 'This is us!' they mean it. Besides just being an uplifting positive message, this song is directly about their struggle together to become a successful band as Lone Wolves in the Metal Scene. So, this is kind of the Lovebites Anthem. Many of their songs have deeper meanings than people expect. They have a Trilogy Asami wrote the lyrics for about The Bomb and the events at Hiroshima in 1945 - The Apocalypse, Under the Red Sky, Above the Black Sea. The lyrics humble me as an American and the music really gives the feel of the chaos and devastation - and the hope for redemption and renewal. Music as Art. Still waiting for Epilogue (hint, hint)

I second the idea of buying one of their live DVDs/Blu-rays and having a livestream watch/reaction party! 😄🤘🎉 You really can't go wrong with any of the three that are available. Daughters of the Dawn is such a fun show. Highlights for me: Bravehearted, Pledge of the Saviour, Empty Daydream, Scream for Me ("OK, Haruna, give me the beat!" plus the epic guitar dual). Five of a Kind had an amazing version of Break the Wall (Midori and Miyako both make their guitars scream in very different ways!). Plus Raise Some Hell, The Hammer of Wrath, a glorious version of Edge of the World. Heavy Metal Never Dies has Glory to the World, Winds of Transylvania, plus some songs from Electric Pentagram that they didn't play on Five of a Kind (Today is the Day, Set the World on Fire, A Frozen Serenade) Plus Spellbound, a deep cut that is only available on the Golden Destination single. They really have fun playing that one! This and Five of a Kind both have awesome versions of When Destinies Align. Another reason you can't go wrong with any of these live shows is they play M.D.O. on all of them! 🤘 I have the same reaction to guitar solos (and dual guitar harmonies!) 😉🎸🎸

While I'm much more into Thrash Metal than Power Metal, the songwriting and playing skills of Lovebites are on such a high level that I can say: I haven't heard a single song by them which I don't like - regardless of the subgenre! I also need to see these Masters of Metal and Angels of Steel live asap! (Unfortunately, I discovered them only a few days after they had finished their German tour in 2018.) As regards dark/sad and depressing things (which you mentioned you write about), I recommend the album "Within the Veil" by Fear of God from 1991 which IMO features one of the most impressive/intense (female) vocal performances ever, which I haven't heard on any other album yet (those on Hole's "Pretty on the Inside" and Bathsheba's "Servus" might go in a similar direction, but the musical styles are different) - and I'm not talking about extreme black/death metal vocals (which are, frankly, not my cup of tea). As an example of what I mean, I recommend the opening track "All that Remains": kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3nOnWaor9aIY5Y If you want a live version, listen to the first song in the following clip (which is to my knowledge the only one with good picture- and very good sound-quality): kzbin.info/www/bejne/lV6wfqRrdpiBpZY Sadly, only five years later, vocalist Dawn Crosby died as a consequence of year-long alcohol abuse.
