I am 81 and can not remember when I didn't listen to the blues. I started very young when I heard an Great Aunt playing the blues on her radio. I was hooked. I could actually feel the rhythm in the various songs. I loved the words as well. They made more sense than what was in popular songs at the time. At my age you don't feel a lot of things, like when you were young. Songs on the other hand still find an audience even after many decades. I personally find Blues Music tells a story in each song. A lot of the best of the Old School Blues seem to originate in New Orleans or just in Louisiana on a back porch in some cases. I hope someone will be playing New Orleans Blues on my way to the cemetery for the last time.

I like to listen to music while I'm working around the house. It's soooo ridiculous for several ongoing commercials to break in !3 times! During 1 song. I don't stop what I'm doing to run hit the skip button every few seconds. I won't be listening to this anymore, and no, I'm not going to pay to listen commercial free. And just so you know, I mark all the advertisers on my "do not buy" list. Everything is about a dollar bill now. Can't even enjoy one song without breaking in with several commercials. Sad. At least they could time the commercials between songs. Dang 😢

It was the late 60's in the housing projects I was introduced to the blues not experienced it. I'd hear a mother BLASTING her console stereo singing the blues every note out LOUD over a hot stove. One son was out finding himself, the other murdered, the daughter always having to watch her back. I seen the blues on her face. 1970 came I end up in a Boys Home with 60 others and often asked "Have you heard Jimi's Red House?" I wouldn't answer. I will say very little I heard was commercial. This channel is good for me to bring back some memories. GREAT CHANNEL ❤

Back when I first started College in the early 70’s, I was taken to a Blues Club in Georgetown, I have been hooked ever since and now at 72’, I have collected a lot of music. Micheal Scott was the guys name. I joined the military to become a tunnel rat. For this span of time I was confident I would survive my time in. I did I then became a Photographer reassigned to the 142d Signal Battalion, I excelled thru the next year and it was at this time assigned to Brigadier General George Patton Jr., (later when he received his third star, he dropped the Jr from his name, becoming a “ll” instead. I was in the room when this came under discussion. As being in many of the changes that happened in his career and witnessed the small group discussion that did propelled his success in the military.
