The best 24 minutes I've ever viewed on YT!!! Greetings from the US. Just got to digging around researching the greatest "jumpers" the other day and didn't really know much about Eddie other than his name and he was a bad ass, but to see this clip, he still is a bad ass and such an inspiration.

Eddie kidd' a hero & legend!.. God bless you m8!. 👍👏👏

Eddie didn't jump bikes, he flew bikes. Physics allows you control, dynamics of motion, rear wheel spinning, rotation of the bike, he was a master of it. A proper legend. Balls of granite. When we knew what being a 'legend' really meant...

I had the privilege of meeting Eddie when I was in my teens. I’ll remember that day as long as I live. It’s a bloody tragedy that this gorgeous man, ended up in a wheelchair 😢 after that horrific accident. God Bless Eddie…… you’ll always have a special place in my heart ❤️

What a lad! do remember Eddie the Kidd being an icon when I was a youngster. I always enjoyed making ramps and jumping my bike over them in those days.

I'm in Canada and I'd never heard of Eddie before until I watched an episode of Top Gear last night where his story was featured along with a personal visit with Eddie. Sadly he's lost his ability to talk over the last 20 years. I idolized Evel K as young boy, I can only imagine Eddie's fans the U.K. feeling the same way as I did. Eddie had it all, the stones, talent & looks.

Still a hero, not in the stunt sense - he's done that - but more in the way he smiles at the future when he says "that's how it is" or "life goes on mate" maybe more inspirational than the jumps even, hope he has the care and support he deserves
@MrMiD.Life.Crisis5 жыл бұрын
He was a big hero for me. I never knew what became of him, and he may even be a bigger inspiration now than he was before. For me thats the problem for stars like Eddie and Evel, once they're no longer active and not in the spotlight they fall off joe publics radar - almost used up and discarded. Shame one of his ex-wives (i cant think of her name) assaulted him instead of caring for him. I realise that what goes on behind closed doors noone knows but still, theres nothing you can tell me to justify strangling, kicking and punching a guy affected by brain damage and in a wheelchair. Rest easy Evel, stay strong Eddie and ride on Kaptain!! Hope youre good.

Very nice documentary. I have seen Eddie Kidd few times . Yes what a tragedy to see him in a wheelchair. I too had a bad accident lost my right foot and part of my leg. Was in a wheelchair for a few hours , hated it . Strove daily to get outta hospital bed and get on the crutches and move. Prosthetic now has given me freedom but shall never replace what God gave me. Good on Russel brand to do this , always thought he was a twat , but he should do more things like this..

Brand did jobs most people would run crying from.. Respect for his humanity and persistence on this... Kidd would have Chewed most of the Vapid Fools of the era up and spat them out the window..
