Hmm… I have a Shot! Bandit Duro board. I absolutely love this dartboard. I wonder if the thick plastic surround on the board will present issues with the clamps that go on the outer edge of the board. 🤔

@@LoveDarts A follow up: there’s no way the brackets will fit on to the Bandit Duro. But, with the legs tightly snugged between the surround and the board, there’s absolutely no way it’s going anywhere and makes me wonder if the brackets are necessary at all. I’ve had this light for three days and I’m in love with it.

Brilliant review, Marc. I get the feeling if Mission were to launch a version that screwed directly onto the wall (like the Winmau Plasma Light), they'd probably dominate the market. The section cut out the bottom is definitely a game changer.

I like being able to remove it tbh. Don’t like fixed to wall but this is the beauty of darts we all like different things! Glad you enjoyed it! I do enjoy the cut section! Much much better

No, stupid idea, what for? Fixing into dartbord is much better, thats why mission torus 270 is awesome. Plasma is 360° first of all and same brightnes so no point to copy that. If you dont like it mission torus 270 go and get plasma.

I agree, attaching the legs to the light it's self with the stupid little screws was the hardest part. Atleast on the original Torus light. I will say I do like the yellower light of the corona over the bluer tone of the Torus.

Yeah it’s personal preference and tbh you can always replace these led strips it’s not a big job and the frame is better which is the key bit for me

Marc, great review! Can I ask two questions... 1) Is the top of the dartboard is better lit than the bottom of the dartboard, or is the whole of the dartboard lit equally (like it is with the Corona)? 2) Do you think the attachments that you clip onto the side of the dartboard would fit onto a Winmau Blade 5 'Dual Core'?Thanks for making this review... I am really tempted to get one!

Yes jack it’s just as good too and bottom and will defo fit on the blade board!

Great review Marc 👍 you mentioned the dimmer which I have but I get a horrible strobing effect in my vision throughout my entire throw when I use it which is off putting and makes it useless. Have you come across or heard of this happening before? I am using the corona but darts corner said it was compatible with it? Thanks

Have you tried changing the brightness a smidge one way or the other. With many different lights that have dimmers sometimes there’s a weird zone that the pier seems to almost surge sporadically and cause strobing but I haven’t had that myself with my dimmer. It’s the DC one but have it on the termote with the scolia.

@@LoveDartsI have but the dimmer I make it the worse it gets so kinda defeats the object. The light itself isn't strobing its when things are manipulated within the light produced that they appear to strobe, its like playing in a 90's rave 😂 Thanks though and BTW I have just submitted an order for your gen1s

I want to put this on my gran dash soft tip board. Do you think the magnet conversion kit from the Corona vision light would work with this?

I’m not sure tbh. I would ask neils darts I’m not sure if he did it. The granboard3 is a little to think I think for the clamps on the edge. I have the illumina one80 light above a door in my garage for my granboard as a ring light on a door is not practical

What a pain everytime you wanna turn the board. Gonna have to line all the clips up again. Just buy illumina180 no messing and no shadows

I get shadows with the illumina. Not bad but there’s only one source of light so naturally you will get some shadowing.

@@LoveDarts thanks for the reply! I actually ended up ordering the unicorn solar flare. Only because of where my board is. Its close to 2 barstools at my bar, and i can already see someone turning around, or trying to squeeze by and just taking it with em. This light was less expensive compared to the unicorn

One tip for someone who change dartbord rotation every week: you wont have to fix this metal on your dartboard. All ring hold himself when you push it bettwen dartboard and surround.

Yes that’s true!! I sometimes do that provided the connection is strong enough to the wall!

One question: there is some surround wich stick into the wall, becuse mine winmau is only 1" deep and my dartboard dosnt look well. I have to fix it exactly same edge like dartboard but then there is a big gap bettwen surround and the wall...

@@bestpeter78 sorry buddy can’t comment in depth of surrounds as it’s not something I have noticed. Some people don’t screw the centre pin of their boards enough though so that can leave a larger gap between board and surround

It of course has other elements. The gap is much more user friendly. So it’s a nice upgrade that considers player feedback and usability.

It’s not to everyone’s taste but you can always get replacement LED strips with a warmer colour if that’s your thing!

Do not buy multicolours led strip. Daylight there is not 5500K like torus 270 have. I get one and it was rubbish...
