This one made me cry. Last month our dog of 15 passed away, leaving behind her best fuzzy dog friend. Now Jelly looks for Lily every day and she’s so sad. But she knows where Lily’s grave is and will go visit. Seeing the joy of this pup seeing her mom just hit me. Jelly would be ecstatic if Lily walked in.

I am so sorry your entire family lost Lily. My daughter and I went through the same last year. Our 12 year-old Westie died from cancer. Lola, our Westie/Cairn didn’t understand where her friend had gone or if she’d come back. My daughter immediately orderred a puppy that would be ready within the 5 week gap of Sophie’s death, so we could heal. I wasn’t keen on getting another puppy so soon, but Lola is crazy about Ellie….and so am I!

This almost brought a cold hearted man to tears when you went back & found the Mother. I can't think how the Mother felt when she went back & couldn't find her baby. I bet she was exhausted from looking for her until you brought them back together. The joy from Lucy & her sticking close to her Mom thereafter couldn't be a better result.

Oh come on. Look at the reunion? Lucy was overjoyed and Rozy (the mum) clearly wasn't interested in the least. In fact I got the _"geez... I thought I'd got rid of her once and for all and now you've brought me back to her"_ vibe from her at the meeting shows clearly that Rozy was happier without Lucy.

Rosa's anxiety, age and heartworms have led to a subdued response to her reunion with Lucy, but I am certain she is happy. Mom has had a few traumas since she saw her baby. Plus, heartworms are depleting her energy. My heart was racing in anticipation of the reunion. The baby was jazzed but mom needs a little rest, bless her! You guys don't just talk about saving animals - you DO it!

I was thinking the same. She looked so weary. Hopefully its a case of she knows she can be tired for a bit as she realises she isn’t the one having to go find them both food. Susie, the mom, has Heartworms. Heart worms, cause extreme fatigue due to stress on the heart. I do hope she makes it to heartworm treatment well and that we get an update.

Heartworms are horrific. Treatment requires the pup to be calm throughout the recovery, exhaustion is present especially if there is pulmonary issue.
