goid evening dr. i am a nonmedical person interested in medical science. it is my hobby to read medical books. i have a problem ie in the epigastric bottom right side and 3 inches above the umbilical region. i have the symptom of hernia for the past years without pain. i feel it during heavy cough, sneezing, stooping for a prolonged time and during sitting position to wash my clothes or clean floors. i have the cramped muscles inside with a mild rigidity of muscles with mild muscle protrusion only felt if the area is massaged. it disappears if i stand erect. only once the bulg was more and it took at least 4 minutes to normal followed by mild massage over the area and standing. i am 65y, retired, pure veg. may i know what is it dr. i have no fear to undergo surgery but wish to avoid it after knowing what to do live with the same status without aggravation following doctors advice, food, dos and donts. much obliged for your advice.
