I keep checking back to make sure I haven't missed new content (we all know KZbin doesn't always give notifications even if you're subscribed with the bell on!), but alas, Christmas is still the most recent video... I hope that all is well with you and your family ❤

I totally agree with you about the doll house. Two of my grandchildren are best friends. They’re not siblings, just cousins, but they have an amazing bond. Surprising when you consider that one is a 10 year old boy and the other a 7 year old girl. When the 10 year old is at home, he doesn’t really play with toys. He games and reads etc. But when they’re together he loves playing imaginatively with her and they have very intricate story lines going on with the play figures and doll house type toys I have here. I think it’s great that it gives him the opportunity to express himself in a more child like way for a period of time. Equally she will rise to his level quite happily and play on the switch with him or kick a ball around. You’re kids have the best of both worlds with such a close relationship. I’m sure they’ll love their gifts. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas 😊

I was just looking at this dollhouse a few minutes ago for my 5 yr old son and 10 yr old daughter.

What a coincidence! Did you end up getting it?

Last Christmas, I gave my (then 4.5 yo) daughter a cookbook, she LOVES it and spends a great deal of time just looking at the pictures and planning/ pretending to cook. So, I think it is a great gift!

How fun! I never would have thought about getting her that if their grandma wouldn’t have gotten one for them first. But now they have a whole cook book collection. Haha.

Dollhouses are not weird for boys. It sounds like your son is very imaginative and will act out lots of cool stories. I think it is wonderful to give toys based on a child's interests, not gender stereotypes. My parents did and I am very grateful! Great video. Thank you 💖💖💖

Yeah I completely agree! I am so sorry I worded it poorly. I think I just watched a bunch of these videos before filming my own and was feeling self conscious about mine being different. I definitely didn’t mean to continue any harmful stereotypes or expectations. I try to give my kids creative open ended things that they would love despite their age or gender. ❤️

I got the impression she meant it was not typical for an 8 year old, not because he is a boy.

We got our son the exact same Hape dollhouse when he was 3 or 4 I think and all those accessories as well. If you haven’t seen this idea in the reviews- it’s really cool to get these little stick on tap lights for each room of the dollhouse so you can have lights inside. Really fun!

Call me biased but I love a good nerdy, book lovers, quirky kid Christmas haul. I have five quirky kids who love very random things and also love books and are also homeschooled 😂😂 Great haul and thank you so much for sharing!! Our screen name is similar too!

Your kids need other friends. Not just each other. Don’t you get together with other homeschooling folks.

Oh don’t worry. They do and we do. Thanks for your concern though.

Oh wow! Why would you even ask that? She is telling what she got her kids and why. Like maybe they spend SOME time playing together. Maybe they actually like each other. Hmm 🤔There is something to consider… Troll troll troll 😂
