A tip: don’t use whole wheat flour or regular all purpose flour since many dogs are allergic to them. I usually use oat flour (or you can use regular oats and use a food processor or a blender to make the oat flour) because it contains good fibers for your dog. Hope this helps❤️❤️

I agree... both of my dogs can't eat wheat of any sort... even if I give them a piece of wheat bread they itch so bad... strange... so Oat flour is easy to make... Thanks

THANK YOU. I went into the comments to specifically look for an alternative to the whole wheat flour because I'm allergic to it. When I tried handling it before to make breads, I broke out all over. Nice to know I can use oat flour.

Great recipe! I make a similar one for my dog but with oat flour instead of whole wheat flour. I take plain whole rolled oats and put it in the nutribullet magic bullet to grind it up to a flour consistency. Also I have bought plain unsalted peanuts and put it through the nutibullet as well. it makes the peanuts into peanut butter and I know there's nothing else in it but peanuts. CB's Nuts is also a great peanut butter with only one ingredient! Thanks so much for sharing your tip on putting them in silicone molds WAY faster than the cookie cutters. I will try that the next time. You are such a great person - love how much you love and care for your doggies!!

Today I finally made these dog treat. I bought two of the baking trays like yours from Amazon. I made banana and peanut butter biscuits. My dog loves the biscuits. I had a store bought biscuit and the one I baked side by side and my dog ate the one I baked. What a savings! It's something different for my dog. I will switch up flavors later on. Maybe some carrot with apple. Thank you much.♥️

Dear Lexy, Please put a warning notice on these two treats that they can increase dogs that have seizures to have more. I baked the pumpkin peanut butter treats for my dog. She had a Grand Mal seizure 2 nights in a row after eating them. I didn't know until I researched it, that both whole wheat flour and peanut butter (even natural) can increase seizures. My poor old girl is new to seizures, so I'm still learning. I felt so bad that while trying to help my dog, I made her worse. Other pet parents of seizure dogs need a warning. I still love your cooking for dog videos and am going to start cooking for mine. Now I know I have to check ingredients out before I use them. Please don't feel bad, ad I'm sure you didn't know either!

I’m confused! Peanut butter and whole wheat flour can cause seizure sensitive dogs to have seizures? Is it the combination of both or separately? Did your dog never eat PB before? Should I be avoiding PB for my dog?!.. maybe just substitute for oats or something instead of whole wheat flour if it is the combo.

When looking it up, both ingredients could cause seizures. I think i looked up the ingredients separately. Seizures were new to her and us, so we did not know all the things ok to do n not do.

Always do your research before making your dogs food or treats.

Peanut butter, itself, is not toxic to dogs and does not cause seizures. However, xylitol is toxic to dogs, and it can be in some flavored peanut butters. Also, too much salt is not good for dogs, so READ LABELS carefully. Use only natural peanut butters that contain ONLY peanuts, and you should be ok. Some dogs can have allergies to eggs, so keep that in mind, as well. Also, correlation does not equal causation. The seizures may not have had anything to do with ingesting peanut butter.

Ii found the recipes! Yay! And I made two of the treats and my Havamalt (a mix of Havanese and Maltese), Sadie, loves them! That's all she's going to get from now on! After reading all of the chemicals and fillers in the store-bought treats, my husband and I said, NO More of that for our sweet Sadie! And they were so easy to make, took hardly any time at all, and the silicone molds are so cute and clean up in an instant! Win, Win, Win, Win....!

Definitely gonna give that recipe a go, but swapping the flour not a wheat flour, I'll put some oats in the blender and then just like magic, you have oat flour and I'd use that instead. But they looked wonderful, and your fur babies couldn't get enough of them...🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾🏡🎄❄️🎀💕

Additionally, not sure if you may be interested, although Azure Standard has a 25 lb bag of Oats for 17.22 which equals approx 1.90 per 42 oz when compared to Quaker Oats 42 oz 6.99 or even if you wait for a Publix Store sale of bogo it's alot considering 25 lbs and you can toss in your food processor until you obtain the ground version of preference for a recipe.
