Well, you can't really blame Jane for being confused. Nearly *everyone* in Austenland is fake; even the guest Amelia and Martin the 'servant'. And she just heard the actors give the guests false love proclamations. So of course she thinks Nobley is just another actor giving her a prepared speech.
