@@MikeEckman It's not soft enough. It would have been OK if it was quiet in the background, like it is at the end, but for most of the video it is just as loud as the shutter sounds.

Most iconic shutter sound is from Leicas. Because of Leica there is full frame ! In a USA courts Leica was allowed because of shutter sound and no other cameras. Most beautiful shutter sound from digital cameras have Leica M9 ! Please try to test Leica M6 or M3 shutter sound.

The point in camerasounds is in the subtile nuances of rebouncing springs and levers, the rubbing of cloth as opposed to the zizzling of metal blades. I have put my ear on every camera I owned and listened to it and every single camera has a different character even if they seam to be related. And this may even depend on the mode you are using. A Minolta X700 for example differs markedly in sound in M, A and P. Covering these subtilities with a loud piano tune to me is kind of a philistine act.

I want to balance all the people calling for the removal of music in the process. To me, the music is part of the whole composition, as much as the visual elements in the frame are (including the microphone, playing a role both with its presence and its form). The music might remove from the purity of the shutter sounds, but it adds so much more to the amount of humanity and art in the piece.
