I've mentioned this in other videos comments, but please stop wearing strapless binders. They're very dangerous, and you should only wear binders from reputable brands like GC2B, Underworks, and Shapeshifters. You could get really hurt wearing strapless binders because they have to be even tighter than normal to stay up, and they un-evenly distribute the pressure they use to flatten, which can break your ribs.
@LovelyLor

I definitely did not know this! Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I've only ever worn them for about 10 minutes at a time for filming video segments but I will refrain from using them and stop mentioning them in the future. I do have others that are not strapless from underworks that I'll use instead. I definitely never recommend binders intentionally but I realize by mentioning I use them it is in a way recommending them so I will stop. Thank you for the information! I am very grateful.

@@LovelyLor Thinking about supportive underwear, have you considered corsets or, in particular, stays (the historical precursor to modern corsets)? Corsets and stays can provide a smooth under layer to display a garment on, and while corsets, esp today, do often waist sinch they don't have to, and stays typically were not meant to sinch at all. Stays originally were just a combo bra and dress support frame that smoothed out the torso, and often removed the under boob dip without squashing the way binders do, either through the sturdyness of the construction or under boob padding to fill the gap. It is still possible to find them from specialist stores, I've seen some on etsy for example, though most people I've seen have made their own. As for comfort, while I haven't gotten my hands on a pair of stays yet, I have seen a number of people who use historical dress in their wardrobe who prefer them to bras.

@@shadowjewel I was discussing this on earlier video's comments too, I love to wear foundational corsets under lolita! My only concern is Lor seemingly gets discomfort in lolita rather quickly, so I'm not sure if she'll go for something with a reputation like corsets, which can be uncomfortable until broken in properly. They're also quite a hefty investment for someone who's not necessarily sure how much wear they'd get out of them 😅

Omg that dress would be so fun if you lean into the whole Swan Lake thing! Lots of feather accessories and maybe those little angel wings or something. It is named after the main character from Swan Lake after all! Even going more angelic or ballet inspired in general would be so cute!

i would defo lean into the ballet and swan lake aesthetic in this dress, you could also style it with say a pastel blue blouse and a of mix pink/blue accessories, i know you usually take colours from the dress but welp best case here is to find colours that naturally go together. you could also try doing it bittersweet with a black overskirt and other more gothic leaning aspects (an odile take if you would)
@lunaseesall

I could see this look going two other ways as well. You could either do full cotton candy with a baby blue blouse and blue tights, white shoes, and a cotton candy inspired hair piece. Maybe even a white wig? Or you could go pastel goth, and my mind has Draculaura as the blueprint lol. Bell shaped black sleeved blouse with your normal hair worn in pigtails? Black tights and a pop of color with baby pink shoes. I'm not sure on the headress, but a short veil could be cool or just a few pink roses clipped in.

I first heard of Baroque when their Rapunzel OP was used in The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II anime! Their dresses are sooo gorgeous. I agree on going for a ballet aesthetic as an option, but that's a popular suggestion, so I'll suggest something different: maybe coording it with a peignoir with lace on it!

Clips and pins!!!! That skirt looks like it could be great for that kind of thing if you have the guts. Id love to see strawberries and cream theme, ballet like some others have suggested, very royal themes! I think pearls would be a great jewelry, silvers or bright golds. Its such a blank canvas I feel like you could get away with adding so many accessories. A over skirt embellished with pearls maybe? A belt of pearls? (Like maybe a string of pearls just pinned to the sides of your waist) So many things!!! Blues pinks creams and lavenders would all work well with this in my eyes. If you want a crazy color scheme maybe a soft pastel strawberry lemonade? (So yellows). I'd love to see this paired with loads of white flowers, a dripping lacy and pearled veil? A big bow waist band/belt thing? Ughhhhhhhh I can't choose theres so many things!!!

Odette is the main character in swan lake. It is a ballet by Tchaikovsky who also composed the sleeping beauty ballet. For styling the dress you could go with a straw hat with white and pastel flowers. Perhaps you could pair it with a cute cardigan for fall.

The entire time I was looking at this dress I kept thinking about whimsical art nouveau high tea. Elegant sweets accents with flowers and opulence. I desperately wanted to see a delicate tea cup on your head (this image will forever be burned into my brain now). Maybe also take inspiration from the lace on the bodice (I think of really pretty tea doilies).

Apparently hat dress already has a gorgeous lace around the bottom of the bodice, but a wide sash of a contrasting stretch lace would work well to break up a single colour dress. Why has stretch lace as a sash not occurred to me previously? *happy couch dance* That's going to ROCK!

Because you mentioned how different the hem was to what you're used to, maybe styling it with an under- or over- skirt would look look nice and it would be a good way to incorporate another color in a balanced way and kinda break up all the pink.

Lor discussing empire waist dresses made me sigh. I hate wearing them and feel like I look horrible. Lor looks so cute in them that I forget they are that high, often. It just really reminded me of how I wish some stores would make it more obvious when their dresses are empire waist (putting the waist right under the chest, as mentioned), because often, the pictured are misleading. I always have to double check. I've missed out on a lot of beautiful prints because they only exist in that shape and being reminded kind of made me sad. Sorry for being a negative Nancy, but I hope it was okay to vent. Lor, this dress is beautiful on you and I'm glad to see a different type of dress being explored on your channel. I had forgotten about Baroque and now I'm brought back to the old days when I used to dream about wearing lolita when I would get older.

- I think it'd be really cool to do a ballerina-inspired look by wearing some rocking horse shoes with long criss-crossing straps or other ballet-inspired shoes. - I also like the idea of a "vintage" look with some long gloves (with a large vintage-looking statement ring and a bracelet over them, if you'd like), pearl necklace/jewelry pieces or a scarf, maybe an updo, and a short sleeved blouse (or dare I say, no blouse), and maybe no petticoat. - Because the dress is a solid color, I think there's a lot of potential for layering, so you could experiment with detachable peplum(s), overskirt(s), or a bustle for more texture. Ones made out of a sheer material similar to the dress would be pretty , and ones made out of a stiffer fabric could be fun, solid or printed. I've seen people use half aprons as peplums. And then if you wanted to go all out, you could combine and layer them. It might be fun to tie them to one side instead of to the back to create interesting, asymmetrical looks, especially with a tiered or ruffled detachable bustle, perhaps paired with a wide belt or underbust corset. - A peignoir would also be cool, and on that note, it could lean towards cult party kei if you use white/cream layers, no petticoat, and maybe incorporate some knitted textiles. Or it could lean more yume kawaii or fairy kei if you layered with pastels. - I also think you could take a page from punk lolita by wearing a T-shirt or sweater over the dress, steering it towards a punk or fairy kei direction depending on what colors/motifs the T-shirt/sweater has. And you could wear a jean or leather jacket or knit cardigan and more casual shoes.

Honestly given that I lived in Korea, which I personally found the most restrictive in terms of sizing for every day clothes (compared to China and Japan which I also lived in) I’m SO IMPRESSED by the sizing of Korean lolita brands. The quality is there, and then they also often offer sizes that fit even me! (Me being a person who qualifies as plus sized in Canada) From Marchen die Prinzessin to Haenuli (though sadly both of those are now dead :( ) to now Baroque and LEIF is probably the LEAST good at sizes but at least they are now releasing more stuff that has plus sizes, I think that Korean lolita does a divers range SIZES so well (especially considering that they exist in East Asia where sizing is generally more restrictive), and the quality is there as well!

I believe she was bitten by a squirrel and she doesn’t like them because of that

@@LovelyLor Same. Well, not bitten, but otherwise traumatized. When I was young and went to a really small school, 2 squirrels (and on an unrelated occasion, a chipmunk) ran through the school physically threatening the students. One of them cornered me, forcing me to stand on a trash can and throw shoes/socks/bows/whatever else I had on me at the time at it. I still think they're cute (i don't even know) as long as they're OVER THERE. I don't EVER want one near me or to have access to any part of me at any time. *laughs/cries/dies in traumatized*

How about styling it with another color? Like sax! A sax shirt/tights/headwear with the pink dress could be really cute!
