Sloth ring citizens (My take)

Man this was so much fun to do I've had ideas about what the citizens from each ring looked like but was always worried id be wrong but after being mildly disappointed with asmodeus design (his OG colors are kinda ◪_◪ not that great) I thought Id just get my ideas out of my system and im so happy i did i love what ive created

BTW it looks like the candle head demons seen in the background of episode 7 modeled after baphomet may be sloth ring citizens, just based on process of elimination of fish demons from envy and skeleton jesters from greed, though your third citizen wasn't far off in that regard.

They honestly could be there could be to same animal types in each ring since goats and sheep play a big role in demon mythology I mostly assumed they where lust ring citizens since there were two candle heads in the gogo cages during fizzs song the lones hitter than fire line is where you can see them best

Your Idea of Sloth Imps reminds me of Brownies (fae servants from Celtic mythos). Brownies basically sneak into people's homes and do any leftover chores that were incomplete or saved for the next day. For example, if someone leaves out ingredients for a meal they were going to cook for the next day, a Brownie would use what's laying around and make the meal for them. So when they wake up they find it magically prepared for them in the morning (except made with 110% more effort that's above and beyond what humans can do). If the human leaves a thank you or more work for them they would become a permanent resident/caretaker of the home. Think of that but a sloth inventor leaving out parts of an invention being too lazy/uninspired to finish it. Then the invention is put together overnight by Imps as they sleep.

I adore all of these designs, Sci-fi is probably one of my favorite genres to make characters for Also the Sloth citizen reminds me of Zaun inhabitants from Arcane, which I adore immensely Excellent work ^^

Arcane has slowly made its way into nearly all my work lately lol and I'm not complaining I used to play the game forever ago so its nice to revisit it and yes sci-fi is the best 💜💜💜

Cyberpunk and Tech Wear are two types of fashion I really like to wear. Combining these two type of fashion sounds like an awesome and interesting design concept. The design reminds me of Jet Set Radio and Jet Set Radio Future. Oh, what if the Sloth citizens wear like a type of high tech rollerblades/skates to match the tech/cyber style to getting around.

I did use jet set radio as inspiration so it would super cool for the sloth ring to use other way to get places without actually walking lol plus jet set has the best muisc which is perfect is helluvaboss is a musical type show

What I find interesting is the Greed Ring also has an ocean, though it must be far less prominent than in the Envy Ring since the Prince of Envy is... Levithan... the sea monster

The counting sheep comparison could have some interesting (imp)lications towards concepts like nightmares like an mash of H.P. Lovecraft's story The Call of Cthulh and Disney's Monsters Inc. Like Sloth denizens enter mortal dreams to not only leave blueprints for creative ventures to poets, artists, and craftsmen but harvest the residual nightmare fuel from the deepest recesses of human imagination as either a form of energy or substance to peddle off to Sinners. I tend to think one of the lost functions of souls upon death is to dream, as it's a form of mental escapism/healing and so seek "sleeping pills" to somewhat mimic a faculty once second nature. Fun to see the growth of your world building.

I've never thought of this before but imps must be one of the most exploratory races there is in hell since most of their people didn't recently move to the other rings and have presumebly been there for decades least Also maybe sloth was the first place they migrated since they need a lot of work power because they don't want to do it themselves but constantly inevent

They were all probably to afraid to move to the pride ring with all the exterminations plus non native demons (human sinners) And yeah i wouldn't be surprised if it was the first place some imps migrated to it probably would have been seen like a good rush city which really would have had many coming to find work

These characters are fantastic! I definitely could see a tech kinda like version of a city for sloth since like you said sloth can think using their smarts. I love the relative like he is the most “let me marry!” To me 🥺 And I so would love to see your interpretation on what the envy and gluttony rings are because in my mind I bet because since vanity kinda goes into envy (aid my memory serves right on that lol) I could totally see like Everyone are all pretty and having mirrors and such because beauty does go around envying someone
