LOVEBITES - Bravehearted lyrics (Japanese) music and lyrics by Haruna; (English translation below) 荒れ狂う大地に魅せられた愚かな心は捨てて その目を凝らして 立ち向かえ嵐の中 闇も影も何もかも全て力に変えて まだ恐れるはずの楔 胸の中 ただ契りに沿わせ 此処に独り立つ 届かない眼差しに密かな希望寄せてもさながら“哀れなる彼方” そう このまま遂げれば先の光弱く 満たされないままに色をつけるのならば 咲き誇れ孤高の華 胸に秘めた野望の欠片を全て捧げ尽くから 犇めき合う棘の中 それが例えこごしき道とて凌ぎあけくれるなら 叶うまではこのまま俯かずに抗えと 身を捩る程の悲鳴は余所に 望めば穢れし手に いつかはこの心に とめどなき光浴びて 鬩ぐ言の葉聞けば哀れな心揺らいで それでも掴み取るまでは ひとすじの光見上げて手をかざせ そう このまま遂げれば先の光弱く 満たされないままに色をつけるのならば 咲き誇れ孤高の華 胸に秘めた野望の欠片を全て捧げ尽くから 犇めき合う棘の中 それが例えこごしき道とて凌ぎあけくれるなら 叶うまではこのまま俯かずに抗えと 身を捩る程の悲鳴は余所に 望めば穢れし手に いつかはこの心に とめどなき光浴びて 繋げると誓って この手の中に ----- LOVEBITES - Bravehearted lyrics (original Japanese by Haruna translated to english) Throw away the stupid heart fascinated by the raging earth Squeeze that eye In the storm, turn all the darkness, shadows, and everything into power A wedge that should still be afraid in my chest Just follow the contract and stand alone here Even if you secretly hope for a look that you can't reach, it's just like "pathetic beyond" Yes, if you do it as it is, the light ahead will be weak If you want to color it unfilled Blooming solitary flower I'll give up all the pieces of ambition hidden in my chest Inside the blazing thorns If it surpasses even a rugged road Until it comes true, don't look down The screams that twist you Sometime in the hands Shi unclean if you wish bathed Tomedonaki light on this heart If you listen to the leaves of the words, it's a pitiful sway Still until you grab it Look up at the light of a line and hold your hand Yes, if you do it as it is, the light ahead will be weak If you want to color it unfilled Blooming solitary flower I'll give up all the pieces of ambition hidden in my chest Inside the blazing thorns If it surpasses even a rugged road Until it comes true, don't look down The screams that twist you Sometime in the hands Shi unclean if you wish bathed Tomedonaki light on this heart I swear to connect, in my hands ----- lyrics: haruna music: haruna arrangement: LOVEBITES

I agree with what you said. One thing that stands out to me from the first listen of this song is... Asami sings with confidence, because this is her native language. Her vocals are even better on this one. Because she naturally knows exactly what to do. Try singing in a foreign language. Heck, we can't even properly speak Japanese... let alone try to sing something in Japanese! Asami is amazing. And special thanks to the always lovely princess HARUNA for writing this awesome song! Wolfpack united!

the reason it sounds so right is because that was the way it was originally written by the little big engine. so the words just naturally have a better flow. like all other songs by LOVEBITES that asami wrote most of the lyrics for in english to start. those songs might not have a similar flow in japanese

I loved it. First time hearing Asami singing in japanese. For me it was more natural and somehow more confident. I feared to have some extendet mmmms but they worked around it. Also sometimes I had problems understaning Asami even konwing the lyrics, just say chainsaw heaven. Here it felt so convinient

3:57 - Miyako looking like she can dominate anything Life puts in front of her. Especially if it has strings. I know what you mean about this being great for being sung in Japanese as it does seem to flow more smoothly, probably because it's her first language and its more natural.

This does sound great, but the fact that Asami sings everything in English and makes it sound good, puts her on a whole different level from the other Japanese vocalists IMO.

🤘 Ive heard songs that flow better in japanese form compared to the english versions, and songs that flow better in english compared to the japanese versions. As for this song, for me it flows perfectly both english and japanese. Asami did an amazing job rewriting this in english and keeping the flow of the japanese version. Bravehearted will always be in my top 5 best Lovebites songs. I would love to have that poster as well. I already have 5 different Lovebites posters framed on the wall behind me but can never have enough when it comes to Lovebites

Love both versions but I must say I mostly prefer my Metal in English (which is not my mother tongue btw), except for some bands/songs. As for Lovebites (and also for Lonesome Blue), I really prefer they continue in English. That will open them more doors in Europe and US🤘🐺🤘

Singing in her own language seems to be a better production, but of course she would be most comfortable doing so. Overall I do like this one better, but both versions are great. Not much difference in the band between the two, just her vocals seems stronger in this version.

This is the first song I've heard by Lovebites in Japanese. It is a nice change to see a photo collage during one of their songs like this. But, since I can honestly say Lovebites are my favorite live band for their impeccable performances, I like watching them play live. I follow them on Twitter and Instagram and have seen many of these photos previously. It's interesting how you think singing in their native language "fits" them better. I will have to listen again to compare because in all honesty, I didn't feel that difference. Regardless, as always, they just don't disappoint.

The reason this is the only song by Lovebites in Japanese is because this song was intended to be released by the band Destrose, that i seen you finally checked out by the way. Haruna wrote this song years before Lovebites but she left Destrose before it got made into a song. But when Lovebites was formed Haruna brought it to the table and it was included in the demo that was sent out to different record companies to get a record deal and Victor picked up Lovebites and loved the demo so much they sent it out and had it cleaned it up and released the demo as what we now know as "The Lovebites EP". Lovebites never intended for this Japanese version of this song to reach the public. Asami rewrote the lyrics in english to be released on their 1st album

@@heavymetalisthelaw1227 Thank you for the back story. It's really interesting the continue to learn of the past and the journey Lovebites had taken to this moment on time. I don't have the history as many of you do, but at least now I can say I'm on the ground floor of what I call Lovebites 2.0.

I've been watching reactions to Lovebites, Nemophila, Band Maid, etc etc.. and a reoccurring theme is the comparisons to 80s,90s and early 2000s metal/rock bands, (but all with their own originality, and artistry of course)..and i understand that, but then Nemophila plays a concert in LA. Well, Reactors and Fans alike have been questioning why it is the audience seems predominately 35 to 55 year Olds!??..😂.. And as I said on another comment section, in answer to the same line of questioning, about mosh pits, (punk music called it slam dancing in the 70s) maybe the audience is listening, and enjoying, instead of knocking each other unconscious to prove they're enjoying themselves..
@SixxDaze

@topcatt1 I agree 100%. Those of us that fall into that category, which I barely made the cutoff 😂, have learned that we enjoy the music more by paying attention, I am NOT knocking those that mosh; you do your thing and enjoy yourselves, and we see things that we may have missed if we were not paying attention. Thank you for your great comment.

I keep trying. I have to use Google to try to learn how to say things properly. So many people have told me I say things different ways. Then people tell me it’s getting better. Now you’re telling me it’s barely understandable. Sometimes I feel like I should just stop but that’s not how I am. When I learned German, they were very understanding and went to great lengths to help me learn because the saw that I really wanted to learn. Maybe it is just a waste of time. Something for me to think about. Thanks.
@gatograto
@gatograto 2 жыл бұрын
@@SixxDaze No, never be a waste of time. As I said, I feel compathy about it. What I mean is just be generous to foreigner's awkward accent. If you think Asami should stop singing in English and switch to Japanese, you are not as understandable as German people. Treat Japanese people as German people treated you. You got to understand that writing lyrics and singing in English is their decision. It is just their thing if it's comfortable to them or not. Let's respect it. If you don't like it, you got to stay away from them. Don't complain about their style. I also have given you some advises on your pronunciation of Japanese before, try to find them. If you are reading Japanese in alphabetical text, try to pronounce it like Spanish.

@gatograto Where did you get the idea that I do not like her singing in English? I did NOT nor have I ever said such a thing. I am literally dumbfounded that you think that is what I meant. Do you think that because I said that I prefer to hear it sung in Japanese that that means that I do not like to hear her sing in English? That is NOT even kind of what I meant. I do not even know how to respond or to clarify what I said without coming of as rude. So, I will say that you completely misunderstood what I said. I have always been respectful to the Japanese people. If I felt like you have said, I would NOT be trying to learn Japanese. I did NOT complain about anything. I am actually offended at the accusations you have made. So, I will just say that I apologize to you, that out of everyone that has watched this video, YOU are the only one that has thought that is what I meant or maybe you’re the only one that chose to say that. So to be crystal clear to you, I did NOT mean that I do NOT like to hear her sing in English. Good day.

@@SixxDaze Bobb i'm a Maidiac but i think there's a big misunderstanding going on here. Gatograto is not saying "You" personally don't like Asami singing in English but if people in general have a problem with it then just stay away. Similarly a lot of Maidiacs (& reactors) want B-M's Saiki to sing more in English, i don't think she should cos her Japanese vocals flow much better & impart more emotion. You know the vast majority of the Wolfpack are great people i just didn't want to see you falling out cos the lines got crossed.😁
